Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - AltairZQ - 10-01-2006 Financial Report: Ticket Income: +99€ (65 Nm) Cargo Income: +79€ (648 lbs) Services Income: +0€ (0 sandwich 0 hot food 0 drink) Services Cost: -0€ (100% quality) Fuel Cost: --406€ (-124 gal 100LL) Airport Taxes: -6€ (Small Aircraft) Insurance Costs: -7€ (4.22% rate) Total Real Income: 573€ Total Sim Income: 28'659€ (real x50) As you can see here the Fuel Cost has a double negative sign, making it a positive cost, thus an income. This is accomplished parking at a refuel station before ending the flight. I would say, if the Fuel Cost is > 0, make it negative, this way if you fill up your tank before ending the flight, it will be an increased cost (setting it to 0 would allow 0 fuel cost flights). Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - LukeJGerst - 10-01-2006 Hey, you can make money by selling the fuel in your tanks, not to mention the fuel you used. ![]() Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - SaVas - 10-01-2006 Its not really an exploit as this isnt a competitive game like Quake or Everquest. The only thing it does it cheat the person that is using FsP. I just avoid the fuel depot area until I let my pax leave and close FsP Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - AltairZQ - 11-01-2006 Call it the name you want, but this is something that shouldn't happen. Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - pagir - 11-01-2006 I wonder if this refuelling station could be used for 30' and 40' flights to be able to cross the Atlantic "the old way" (Gander, canaries islands, Europe...) Pagir Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - Leftcoaster - 11-01-2006 Have done a number of North Atlantic crossings with FsP using the Boeing 314 Clipper, Short S.30 Empire, Lockheed L049 and Douglas DC-6B and either of the latter two can make Shannon-Gander westbound and Gander-Gatwick eastbound easily in most weathers' so this exploit isn't really required. The flying boats have different start points and destinations so it's not available. Cheers Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - SweJets - 11-01-2006 Is there any way to remove the fuelstations in FS2004? I use the airport where I live as the main hub for my airline and when I taxi to one of the runways I pass a fuelstation that lies very close to the taxiway and also the runway so when I use that runway I always refuel when I´m not supposed to. I know I can use the other runway instead, but that´s not really that realistic is it? With all airplanes starting at runway 34 and only me using rw 16. ![]() Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - Ryanamur - 11-01-2006 It's a documented problem that's already been discussed before and it's in the FAQ (http://www.fspassengers.com/? action=faq&question=39). FsP cannot control Fs2004 which will automatically fill your tanks if you park close to the pumps. SOLUTION: Stay away from the pumps. Phil Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - jboweruk - 11-01-2006 Only way really to stop this I guess is if MS in the next version make the pumps clickable to refuel, hey now that's a sweet idea.... Animated Fuel pumps ![]() Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - AltairZQ - 11-01-2006 Just put that damn IF! ![]() joking Dan! ![]() Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - Plane Nuts - 12-01-2006 Quote:jboweruk wrote: As part of the Microsoft Flight Sim study, I have submitted my post flight info for quite a long time now. One of the things I am continuously requesting in the comments box is that they make the Fuel Pumps non-automatic. I pointed out that it would be great if you pulled up and after you shut off the engine and set the parking break, a box would pop up asking if you wanted fuel, then it would also allow you to tell it how much instead of just filling the tanks to the brim. Hope they are actually listening to us users. Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - Flagstaff Flyer - 13-01-2006 I didn't realize anyone used MSFS fuel stations anyway. If you are using FSP why don't you just set the fuel in the Load Aircraft window? I guess that would not be as realistic when you are in a GA plane. -Mike Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - Drew - 13-01-2006 i think they are refering to when you taxi past a fuel pump on the way to the gate/runway, it automatically fills you up. thou i did think that you needed the park brake on to refuel ![]() Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - ricochetv1 - 13-01-2006 No, you do have to come to a complete stop, but you don't have to set the parking brake. Here's a possible fix for the situation... You know that FSP will stop you from entering the fuel and payload screen, and it can obviously sense the state of the fuel tank. I propose that a sub be added that scans for changes to the fuel levels in the tanks. If it detects that fuel is added when on the ground, and fully stopped, then it just ads the amount of fuel added to the total fuel cost for the trip. This would enable people to make long trips with fuel stops and layovers. Just be sure to give about 30 minutes or so per stop, etc. If Dan's feeling especially spunky, maybe he can work it into the planner that you can set layovers and such. Another nice thing would be, especially for these long trips, to be able to save your "game" state, so you can save a flight, and continue it at a later time. Maybe even work in auto-saves or something, so if FS crashes, then you won't lose your entire flight. Re: Fix this exploit (parking at refuel station) - SaVas - 13-01-2006 As I said, just dont stop on or near a refuelling station. Park a little bit further away and it wont happen *grins* |
