Compatibility and a suggestion - Stentor - 08-01-2006 Like most others no doubt, FSP is not the only add-on I use! I also use RC4, FSHS, and AS6, on the whole these all seem to integrate reasonably well, (even FSHS and RC as long as you don't mind the use of tail numbers for the AI). But a definate issue exists between FSHS and FSP which can possibly be resolved. Bothe programs provide a rating system for pilot skills and as such the best enjoyment comes from activating these aspects of each program, in FSHS you are rated on Cockpit management which basically means how you share out hat tasks between you and "Bob" the co-pilot, and tyhese invariably consist of running through and actuating the various checklists. One Item that the two conflict on is the Landing Light, Bob wants to switch it off during the climb regardless of alt, FSP wants it on till 10K . Problem is, if I forget which bit Bob is doing he switches off the Landing light and I get a penalty AND a hefty fine, even though I swith it back on again. Now I do somehow doubt that real world pilots are jumped on so rapidly, so why not introduce a five second delay between an action like this and the incurring of a penalty with the penalty being over ridden if the fault is corrected within this time? This would also assist with situations like being in a different plane where a small mistake with a light switch is easy to make but by no means dangerous. What do you think? |
