Bug in payload editor? - Covoxer - 20-12-2005 Hi all, I guess I have encountered some kind of bug in payload editor. Open payload editor. Select any background image (just in case, it really doesn't change a thing). Set the Station1 max seat to 26. Save result with any name. Open any other payload model, and then this new one again. You may notice that all data fields are not updated including stickers position. Can you reproduce this? I found that this is the "magic" number 26 fault. If you place it in other max seat field it will cause the similar issue, maybe with small differences. Maybe there are some other "magic" numbers? I have e-mailed Dan about it but he does not respond. After 2 messages. I just don't know what does it mean. ![]() Re: Bug in payload editor? - Drew - 20-12-2005 if i read correctly, it works fine for me opened payload picked a picture i set station 1 to 26 station 2 to 26 station 3 to 276 station 4 to 26 saved it as 'test' reopened it, and all the stations are numbered for max seating as i input stated above..... Re: Bug in payload editor? - Drew - 20-12-2005 ah yes reread, once i opened a different model, then back to the test, the results have changed Re: Bug in payload editor? - Dutch64 - 20-12-2005 Drew, you have no time for this, practi(c/s)e your landings! ![]() Re: Bug in payload editor? - Drew - 20-12-2005 sorry boss, off i go to cras...... erm i mean attempt to land ![]() Re: Bug in payload editor? - Dutch64 - 20-12-2005 After i completely reinstalled my pc and every software on it i can finally fly again tonight. Decided to make a ghost image of it all now, much easier in case of another "problem"... Re: Bug in payload editor? - Covoxer - 20-12-2005 Does anyone else can confirm this bug? DAAAAAAAN!!! If you've seen my model you have to understand. I can't add a additional seat in the aisle or just remove one. They should be 1:1 on the image and in the settings. Besides, there is also a similar bug (but not with 26) that I have told Dan about (by e-mail) And finally, how can one be sure that any other numbers are safe? Should I make a hard testing of every new model, vaste a day for finding what's the reason of the trable in case it is (as it was with magic 26)?! I need you Dan! I'm desperate! ![]() Re: Bug in payload editor? - pagir - 21-12-2005 Desperate, desperate... ![]() That' kind of strange anyway ![]() Don't expect a fast answer from Dan, he's sick (bad cold...) ![]() Pagir Re: Bug in payload editor? - Covoxer - 21-12-2005 Quote:Don't expect a fast answer from Dan, he's sick (bad cold...)Ah! I didn't know. Sorry. That explains a lot. Thanx. Re: Bug in payload editor? - Leftcoaster - 21-12-2005 Covoxer. Outstanding piece of deduction. I had been driven to distraction trying to figure out why the payload model I had built for Jens Kristensen's new DC-4M model kept defaulting to 368 pax in three classes with 10,000 lbs cargo instead of 26 pax forward and another 26 aft and 8050 lbs of cargo. Reduced the numbers to 25 fore and aft and the file saved and loads properly. Looks like 26 is indeed the magic number, to be avoided in all payload models, wonder if there are any other 'bad' numbers waiting in the wings. Thanks for the detective work. (OT - Hope Dan gets better soon) (OT Again - Best Wishes to All for a Happy Christmas and New Year's) Cheers Re: Bug in payload editor? - cadel - 10-01-2006 I have the same problme while reloading my new model : The stations are not at the right position as well as the total weight and passengers number ? ![]() Can anyone help ? |
