Crash to Desktop after flight - MobilePCPilot - 07-12-2005 This has happened to me twice. After a FSP flight and turning off the runway, MS ATC transfers me over to ground. Right after "I" say going to ground, FS crashes to the desktop. This is a little dishearting after a long flight. I rebuilt my whole FS folder at the beginning of Nov (daughter was sick at home). I'm running FS2004 ver 9.1, FSP ver Sept 5, 2005, Active Sky V-enhanced (current), Flight Environment ver 1.0.2, Reality XP430 service module ver 5.2.1.0, FSUIPC ver 3.5, Carenado U206G Any ideas why FS is crashing? TIA -Todd Giencke Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - SaVas - 07-12-2005 Todd, when it crashes does it give you any Win XP error message as to if its a .dll issue? I dont see anything that would possibly cause it as I have all you have except the Carenado aircraft, the 430 serivice module, and I use a slightly older version of FSUIPC (registered) My suggestions: Try out of different airports on a different continent Try different aircraft Post Edited ( 12-07-05 19:28 ) Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - SWAFO - 07-12-2005 That's better than crashing mid flight! If it's a bothersome issue, and it's not generating any error messages, a re-installation is always best when these types of things happen. Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - svenpurple7 - 08-12-2005 Todd, I had the same problem you have now. The Carnado aircraft gave me problems sometimes. Sometimes they didn't. It was puzzling and fustrating. Are your flights started from a "saved" flight? If so, you may want to start your flights from the "create a flight" screen and see if you get a CTD when being handed from tower to ground. That solved my problem. Good luck, Ben. Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - SaVas - 08-12-2005 Word to the wise: Never start from a saved flight. The saved flight feature in FS9 is the buggiest part of simming. Its like eating at the $2.00 all you can eat greasy spoon where bugs run a plenty Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - red_baron - 08-12-2005 i had same problem. what is your graphic card model ? u use a lot add on so your graphic card has to run hard ![]() card drivers , or rebuilt fs9 if not or rebuilt your windows if not or last choice update your BIOS ( be careful this choice is Advance level user) ![]() Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - eazy - 08-12-2005 Quote:red_baron wrote:... or rebuild your life if not ![]() Just a guess: Todd, do you happen to use EditVoicePack? Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - MobilePCPilot - 09-12-2005 Thanks guys for all of the feed back. Now bear with me... Savas- No, no messages from windows XP. And I don't think it is the XP430. I use that too offen with other aircraft. Brad- I hope I don't have to do a reinstall. because I just did that last month. But I also did a major defrag sence then... Svenpurple7- I think you have found the problem. I think I need to do a clean start when I start up a flight. At least with Corando aircraft (I still love the 206). Eazy- No I don't use EditVoicePack. I'll keep you posted if this happends again. But I just made C4 and have bought a Pilatus PC-12. Not bad for starting at C0 with $500k! I do think aeroSOFT's DHC2 Beaver and Corando's Cessna U206G are the best money makers for the C0-C3 pilot. I only fly the 206 when I need an autopilot. My plan is to have a fleet of heavy lifting single engine aircraft. Why pay the price to feed another engine(s)? Now does anyone make a single turbofan cargo hauler... ![]() Thanks again... Todd Giencke Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - svenpurple7 - 09-12-2005 I am glad it is working for you Todd. However, I will not take credit for finding the problem. It is a well known issue that "saved" flights are very buggy. The all powerful search feature will verify that. ![]() ![]() ![]() Now go out there as carry some pax! ![]() Enjoy, Ben. Re: Crash to Desktop after flight - lightrail - 09-12-2005 I read somewhere that aerosoft installs a dll file into the module folder and this causes the crash. It seems you don't need the dll for the program - it's probably something to do with web access. I deleted an aerosoft dll from my computer and it solved one of my CTDs. |
