FSpassenger keep saying there is not enough disk space to install - panos - 30-10-2005
Hi,
i purchased before a month FSpassenger. I had no problem installing and playing wiht it on a PIII machine under winXP and FS2004.
It's a gread addon.
A few days ago i installed FS2004 under XP on my brad new Athlon machine X2 2200+. New disks, plenty of Gigabytes free.
FS2004 plays ok. (Specs: winXP on a SATA Raptor 70Gb, fs2004 on a IDE 40GB. The system has also 2 disks as raid 0 installed but
they have nothing to do with the game)
Before that i had copied FSpassengers installer, on a CD on the CDdrive named D:.
Then i copy it back to my disk and try to use it.
FSpassengers is refusing to begin installation. The default message i get after doubleclicking it, is:
" Available space on Disk O Gb Requider 34.84 Mb
The following directory of Fs 2004 was found:
D:\GAMES\FS2004\
Sorry, insufficient disk space to install....etc.. please retry"
altough my Fs9.exe lies on a differend IDE disk named H:\.
When i browse to the right directory, fspassenger sees it allwright, but still refuses to install, under the following message this time:
(The disk space mentioned is correct):
" Available space on Disk 24.29 Gb Requider 34.84 Mb
The following directory of Fs 2004 was found:
D:\GAMES\FS2004\
Sorry, insufficient disk space to install....etc.. please retry"

its trying to install it onto the cd drive (the cd rom) you need to change the location to where fs2004 is installed
typically
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9
easiest solution i would say...
download again from here
install
put u key in
copy your 'database' file to the fspassenger folder (if you want to keep your currect progress)

copy the installer on hard disk before installing or use the "browse"
button to give the correct location.

Well the problem solved only when i changed the driver letter of my disk, who had the fs9.exe, from E: to...D:
