FS Passenger billing. - yaoi161519 - 13-10-2005

I thought I might bring this one up, just last month I purchased FSpax, which to my calculation is about Rp 350,000 (Indonesian currency)

Yes, I know you're surprised, considering that 99.99 % of software you can legally buy in Indonesia is pirated... hell, even the authorities/
police would say "Kid, do something better and stop bothering us" if you report the shop that sell pirated CDs. All of the police and their
chronies are on the pirates payroll....

Anyway, that aside...
As I said, I calculate that I would pay around Rp 350,000 for FSpassenger, however, I was billed for the sum of Rp 400,000 (Rp 50,000
extra). Apparently, I was billed by the exchange rate on the day the bill was issued, not by the exchange rate on the day of the transaction. I
know I might sound stingy, after all Rp 50,000 worth about US$5. However, for Indonesian, Rp 50,000 is a lot.

So, for the future transaction and convenience, is it possible that the buyer/s are billed with the exchange rate on the day of the
transaction instead of the exchange rate of the day the bill is issued ?

Thank you for your attention.

First I want to thanks you a lot for your purchase, I think
your purchase i even more valuable as it cost a lot for you.

About billing date I'm sorry but I don't have the hand at all on the
billing date, billing and exchange rate is most probably made
by your credit card company.

Bank are well know to take fee each time you even think to your money
I have an account in euro and each time I want to take some money they
take 1.5% Hunappy

Hope it answer ?

Dan

Hi yaoi161519!

Welcome in the world of FSPassengers! I think I really understand what you are talking about and I think Dan can highly appreciate that you decide to
buy this software legally.

I was living myself for seven years in Indonesia and I had several strange experiences too trying to buy legal software ;-)
I will never forget my local computer dealer in Lumjang who was whispering with a conspiracy sounding voice into his phone to his distributor in
Surabaya: "I have here a customer who want's to buy a legal copy of Windows XP, what we can do about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And also not the news from Kompas (national available newspaper) which states that the Indonesian Government finally decides to buy for more than
30.000 government computers legal copies...

Where ever you try to buy you will get every thinkable software for approximately 10.000 up to 30.000 Rupiah, which is about 0.81 - 2.43 Euro. So you
don't have to ask if this is legal software. And I don't talk about little dirty backstreet shops and under the desk selling. I talk about super malls
like Tunjungan Placa in Surabaya with big racks with loads of software in luxury environment...

And to Dan and others to understand: 400.000 Rupiah is for many many people in Indonesia much more than one monthly salary. When I was still there (in
the end of 2003) in our region the minimum salary for a day was 11.500 Rupiah (=345.000 a month) and may times the people a payed less.

Mick!

In my opinion, FSpassenger provide the easiest way to make FS feels like real airliner, so it was money well spent. In past few months
I've been trying to find a payware that perform similiar to FSpassenger (such as FS2Crew) and none of them come even close. So yea, I
don't mind paying those big amout of money.

Hell, I even prefer to buy FSpassenger than PMDG's 747-400 *lol* Rather than buying PMDG 747-400, just repaint a POSKY 747-400 with PMDG
livery, of course the FDE is different, but from outside view, no one will know the difference ^_~

Re: FS Passenger billing. - Sovek - 14-10-2005

Im with you there, I doubt there is a $40 diffrence in the FDE, they are just charging that for the panel, I dont see why people want to pay for
planes that I can get for free. Now granted I would like to have the panel (and FMC) but I dont want to pay an arm and a leg for it. And from what Ive
seen POSKY does nice work.
