Penalized for Full Throttle with Park Brake set? - BobbyBond2 - 10-09-2005
Hello all -
First, I'm having a great time with this addon. Enough to get away from the bigger aircraft and fly the regionals for more t/o's and landings!
However i'm being penalized everytime I start the engines with my Wilco Pub. CRJ-Series. It seems when I start the engines N1 goes up to max as part
of the start up procedure and I'm being penalized for this. So even after a perfect flight and landing, I'll lose 250 points.
Any way to modify this so I'm not losing points? Or am I not doing something correct?

Start the engines during the pushback as is normal for real operations. Maybe when you're starting the engines you have the throttle accidentaly in
the max thrust position, so always check its at idle first. No aircraft has engines that spool up to max thrust as part of the start procedure itself,
or at least not jet engines anyway.

I get the same thing with my 737-800, take off parking brake and use the normal brake when starting up engines, or you could disable it the
config_more.cfg in your FSP folder.

The file to modify is actually more_options.cfg. It's in your FSP/Config folder.
There's an option to disable the "parking brake, max thrust" issue.
