negative fuel consumption - Needle - 06-09-2005 Hi Dan, I am running the 02-09 update (will install the 05-09 later today) but in my latest report I saw some strange numbers: Report: Landing Speed: 238.91 Km/h Landing Touchdown: -90.0 ft/m (kiss) Landing Pitch: 5.79° Landing Weight: 18129 kg Total Fuel Used: -1742 kg Fuel Not Used: 5170 kg Climb Fuel Used: 536 kg Cruise Fuel Used: 845 kg Cruise fuel/hour: 1189 kg (calc) Descent Fuel Used: -3123 kg Any idea how this is possible? Thanks, Arthur. Re: negative fuel consumption - Sovek - 06-09-2005 did go to the refueling station? I did that once in a jetstar II, it gave me negative. Re: negative fuel consumption - pagir - 06-09-2005 Yes, it was reported. Stay away of those refueling stations!!! Pagir Re: negative fuel consumption - eazy - 06-09-2005 It's not bad after all: I had this once and instead of paying for the fuel I got the money back ![]() Re: negative fuel consumption - Needle - 06-09-2005 You guys are right, FS ATC did assign me to a parking near a re-fueling station. LOL, if the pax took longer to disembark I would have get money back like eazy says ![]() Re: negative fuel consumption - SWAFO - 06-09-2005 I don't like MS's implementation of the "refueling stations". They're just awful! One time I had to hold on a taxi way with my 737, and next thing I know, VOILA! Full fuel tanks! Awful, just awful! Kinda wish it was like this in the real world though. With gas going above $3 a gallon here in the US, it'd be nice if we had "MS refueling stations" everywhere! ![]() Re: negative fuel consumption - Plane Nuts - 06-09-2005 I absolutely hate the auto fueling of your aircraft when you park near the fuel pumps. It's screwed me up countless times after I have my aircraft calculations all done and aircraft loaded and fueled. I'll be ready to roll and just happen to look at my fuel gauges and notice that they are suddenly at 100%, and now I'm over MTOW!! ![]() I am a participant in Microsoft's FS2004 user survey and have noted this as one of my chief complaints with flight simulator at least once so far in my post flight submission. I guess it would be okay to leave the re-fueling stations in, but at least make a dialogue box pop up asking if you wish to re-fuel, and the let it allow you to set the amounts in each tank yourself. Personally, I just wish they would do away with them altogether. Re: negative fuel consumption - SWAFO - 06-09-2005 I agree, a dialog box (it could even pop up in the ATC window, sort of like the progressive taxi indicator) would be a much better addition. I like to keep track of fuel consumption (as in the real world), and when I park at the gate with 100% full tanks, I think "What the hell just happened?" Definetly a nuisance! |
