Man, sometimes ATC does some really stupid things. Like telling me i am cleared to takeoff when 2 secs later she/he tells that 747 i didnt know was
there that hes cleared to land on the same runway. Switch to external view and...well I'll be, there he is on about a 3 mile final.
Or telling me to follow aircraft on final when coming in to land. At first I think "cool, finally something a little more interesting"...only to find
that the airplane I am following is a C172 going about 70 knots on final and i am in the Lear going ~130 knots. I wish ATC was a bit better in this game.
One question,
I just got a great deal on a massive comp upgrade. Right now I am running a p4 2.0 with a gig of ram and the Nividia 6800GT. I just bout a new
motherboard, a ECS PT800CE, with a Prescott p4 3.4 and a gig of better ram all for $350(US). Thats with shipping and all the cables, and whatnot. My
point is I am expecting a big boost in performance in this game and the first thing I want to do is get Ultimate Traffic. So my question is, how is
ATC when you are using Ultimate Traffic, or even Traffic2004?

There is a nice program called AISmooth that at least makes the number of go-arounds smaller when you use Ultimate Traffic. It sends
aircraft in a circle around an airport and then hands them over to the tower when there is a slot. Lovely! Before that you could have 10
planes more or less stacked on top of eachother doing go-arounds. Also, get the taxi speed utility. It (or was it AISmooth) also let you set
thr roll out speed which reduces those annoying planes that never seems to leave the runway.

Here's the link to AI Smooth. It's about 1/4 of the way down the page. Make sure you have FSUIPC in your modules folder or it wont work.
The program works by monitoring AI traffic around your plane and putting them in holding patterns if they get too close to you. Try it
out...so far it's worked pretty well for me.

..ok i have it downloaded and installed. I am taking my computer into the "shop" tommorrow to get all that new crap put in right(last time i tried something like this I royaly screwed the pooch and my computer decided to biatch slap me in the face). I should get it back on mon. Then its straight to the display menu to crank up everything to the max, and then load up the world with as many AI aircraft as I can. Ill give this "AIsmooth" a good workout.

Could someone verify if AISmooth also does the AI taxi speed thing or not? If so, I'd replace AISeperation (another tool for getting rid of go
arounds) with it.

One way out of being behind a slower plane I have used is to just do a quick circle before you get down to decision height or before you
have to do a go-around. Just gives them time to clear the runway before you get there.

The Roll-Out speed is set in AISmooth, just checked the manual since I am at work
