Brakes stop working - Hawk Hunter - 10-08-2005 I am having problems with the brakes not working since I have installed the FSpassenger. I can push the period key and nothing. I check to see if it is still there in assignments, yes still there. I even reasign the brakes to the period key. Still no brakes. The set parking brakes work though. Any ideas, Hawk Re: Brakes stop working - pagir - 10-08-2005 Is it working with the joystick? Pagir Re: Brakes stop working - Hawk Hunter - 10-08-2005 I have flight sim yoke and it doesn't work on yoke either. This doesn't happen all the time. just once in a while but here lately most of the time it doesn't work. The auto brake works though but I am having to use the set brake CTRL (Period) to get the plane to stop which damages the brakes. But now they don't even work when I have fspassenger turned off. Hawk Re: Brakes stop working - silo - 10-08-2005 Is it an addon airplane? Did you try with a default FS9 aircraft? On some addons a/c (payware) you can use their own config to set keyboard shortcuts and maybe it's overriding FS9? Post Edited ( 08-10-05 06:01 ) Re: Brakes stop working - Ehmjo - 10-08-2005 Hi Hawk, i've had similar problems. Sometimes I can't close the ATC window with the ` key. I've noticed that this is most likely to happen when I do more than 1 flight. What actually happens is that somehow the keys seem to get another assignment. I did trace back a couple, not the brakes though ![]() ATC moves to the , key. Closing views moves from [ to ] [ will zoom in and - no longer zooms out. Re: Brakes stop working - Hawk Hunter - 11-08-2005 Hey thanks for all the response. Silo, it is any airplane that I have this problem with. It even happens if FS passeger has been booted yet. I noticed on the AA virtua forum some similar problems with FSpassengers being reported. I did as forum suggested uninstalled and the brakes now work. I install it again, brakes work for a little bit but my last flight they don't work. Uninstalled, they work. Maybe something wrong with .dll file. Its a shame that I cant use this product now that I bought. If anyone figures this out, there will be a little some extra in your paycheck next week. Thanks, Hawk Re: Brakes stop working - DanSteph - 11-08-2005 Quote:Hawk Hunter wrote: That a very strange problem.... !!??? first time I hear it also (24'000 FsP downloaded currently) if FsP trigger the problem I wonder why it work for a while and stop working after !?? ![]() Also FsP do nothing to the brake (appart when there is a failure of course) It might be another dll that is pushed at another memory location ? (this happen if you have many DLL) Anyway to help me track this problem (and perhaps solve it if it don't come from another DLL) can you please give more information and be very precise... ? So are those right ? 1-when FsP is totally uninstalled it NEVER happen ? 2-when FsP is installed WITHOUT running a FSP flight does it happen ? -Can you also post your log.txt of FsPassengers so I can see what DLL you have also ?? -When this happen can you try to load anthoer aircraft and try if brake work again ? Just take care that there IS a FSP failure that fail brake but this only happen if you run a FSP flight the copilot warn you and it must be stated in the final report. Also if you don't run a FsP passengers flight this failure just can't happen. Also as the problem seem to happen sometime only it could be simply a hazard that it happen with FsP ? Thanks Dan Post Edited ( 08-11-05 15:12 ) Re: Brakes stop working - Nelis - 10-11-2005 Same problem here. Spoilers (PDMG) can't be controlled with / any more. Must use + now. Zoom doesn't work any more. I only have experienced it during flight, after using mini display, but haven't tested thoroughly yet. Regards, Nelis Re: Brakes stop working - SaVas - 10-11-2005 Keep in mind the more add-ons you install the more conflicting key assignments you will have. Personally I have so many add-ons that use assigned keys Im having to use Ctrl + Shift + the key I assign lol Re: Brakes stop working - SWAFO - 10-11-2005 Very strange indeed! I had something very similiar happen when I assigned the brakes to a throttle button (on my X45). Basically, they simply would not work when I pressed the keyboard command, or the throttle button. I found out that the "frequency" or "repition" setting (or whatever it's called) on the key command and throttle command was set incorrectly, so that when I pressed the button the brakes would apply for a split second, however holding down the key or button didn't continue to apply the brakes as it normally does. This could be your problem. Simply go into the control assignments area, and try setting your "frequency" to around the half way mark. See if they work then. If not, experiment with some different settings. I don't remember the exact setting I got it working on, but now I've got no issues with the throttle or keyboard commands. I hope this makes sense. Todays my day off, it's also the USMC B-DAY, and let's just leave it at "I've got a few USMC buddies over". ![]() Re: Brakes stop working - Anastasios - 11-11-2005 I did have the problem with the ATC window, that `button is not working with other buttons. When you push ctrl-shift (well, when I push ctrl-shift) something changes in the keyboard-configuration. When I push the . my speedbrakes are activated!!?!? Well, to solve the problem, press ctrl-shift again. It works for me. Tasos. |
