V Speeds - taxader - 19-07-2005

I noticed that after loading up the plane on the payload screen, you get an option to enter V-speeds and whatnot on the next screen.
Does FsP have a V-Speed calculator built in somewhere that I can't find, or does it mean that I have to compute my own. There is a
freeware gauge that will do this for you but you can't get to it until you begin your FsP flight. I computed my V speeds on my DC-4 the
other day using the original graphs in the flying manual...Bloody hell!....those guys had good eyes and a lot of patience back then!

Still plodding along in my Mark I Beaver until I make C3.
14 hours and 1750 points. Company Rep: 89%!!! Soon I'll get a full load (6 pax)!

Thanks Dan. This is really, really good!!! Hold on....why is that oil pressure light on?

Generally, V-speeds are calculated from a table that is in the aircraft manual.

I'm thinking that if you dig around with Google or look on FS.COM you may be able to find a manual that provides this information.

Kind of scientific and would involve a lot of work, but here is a good explanation with scientific formulas: [url]

speed, etc for this calculation.

Re: V Speeds - clut - 20-07-2005

so what's the point of having it in Fsp???

does the co-pilot announce these speeds on takeoff???

Re: V Speeds - Ryanamur - 20-07-2005

Yes, the copilot will call the V speeds if you enter them in the manifest.

Re: V Speeds - clut - 20-07-2005

cool!

Re: V Speeds - fpborges - 20-07-2005

But it has no bearing on pilot points, right? Most of the aircraft I fly already do the callouts, so I haven't bothered with it, or is it necessary?

Cheers,
FPB

No and no. Smile
