Evacuation times very unrealistic - James - 03-08-2005
I had my first emergency last night when flying from Faro to Lisbon and due to myself not obsevring the engines, it eventually resulted in a left
engine flameout due to a power problem which in all cost me €4.3M to repair. When I landed successfully in Gibraltar I opened the doors straight away
after coming to a stop on the runway but it took the PAX's 10 minutes to unboard the aircraft! This is completely inaccurate and it should only take a
MAX of 90 seconds according to FAA and JAA rules. Why does this take so long and will this be fixed in future updates?

From what I've seen they unload just like any other flight...heck I even turn on the music after an emergency to soothe them!!
Maybe they'll fix it who knows...doesn't really bother me tho....in fact, think of it like this. Once you've brought your plane to a halt do you
think the captain or FO would sit back in the cockpit waiting for the pax to evacuate the plane like a normal flight? I'm sure they would tend
to the plane first and then do what they can to expedite emergency procedures.
So, in that case, just hit end flight then you can simulate the emergency drill being performed.
I know what you're saying don't get me wrong.....but it's just one of many cans of worms this addon opened up.

Thanks Dan! I can ow relax knowing the next time my engine falls off my plane or fails me that the PAX's will leave my plane ASAP
