PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - DanSteph - 10-07-2005

Thanks,

I can't upgrade FsP if I must reply the same question again and again
the forum is a tool , there is a search function.

Of course anyone can make a mistake or miss something
but obviously some don't even read one line before jumping
on the post button.

Also without a bit of care the forum would be a total useless tool
for helping peoples.

Many thanks !

Dan

Dan,
I am sorry, but I did mention that I am new to this. When you spend your money, you at least expect to get through the initial screens of
what you pay for !! Being a newbie to the whole process, I am not familiar with the forum search process. If you could explain how I can
get an answer to my post I would appreciate it !

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - JayKae - 19-07-2005

Rafiq, scroll up, above the first post you see the word " SEARCH", use that feature like you would use google Wink

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - Rafiq4 - 19-07-2005

Thanks JayKae,
I was able to search, but I still found no answers to my initial problem. The problem was, I purchased FSP online. After starting FS9, I
selected the FSP Demo, going from KSFO TO KLAX. Upon selecting "Start Flight-Load Aircraft" in the Demo Mode, I keep getting the
error "No Parking Brake-Can't Start Flight". My Parking Brakes are set. What can I do to get around this problem?

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - JayKae - 19-07-2005

I am not sure to be honest I have never encountered that problem, in saying that any problem I ever had was solved by a re-install of FsP

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - Rafiq4 - 19-07-2005

Dear Jay Kae.
I have installed and reinstalled FSP several times and I still cannot get the demo to work or get around the "No Parking Brake Set" error.
Any more suggestions?

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - JayKae - 19-07-2005

I am assuming that you have checked that there is no double Fspassengers.dll in your FS2004 module folder ?

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - Rafiq4 - 19-07-2005

JayKae,
There is only 1 Fspassengers.dll in the modules directory.

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - DanSteph - 19-07-2005

did you tried the "demo" flight ?
don't touch anything an try to start a flight...

As your the only one that experience this problem
I think more that perhaps you are confused witht the parking brake.

notice it might come that the aircraft you try to use don't have parking brake,
so wich aircraft do you use ?

Rafiq4.

Have you tried to look into your fs9.cfg?

See if you have a line saying something like PARKING_BRAKES=190,10

It must be there.

Sonny

Dan

I am using the Demo Flight with a 737-400 aircraft. After loading the Demo, I click on the FSP passengers drop down menu. Then I
select "Start Flight/Load Aircraft". That is when I get the error "No Parking Brake-Can't Start Flight". On the bottom left of the screen is a red
box that says "Brakes", when I select the drop down menu for FSP the red box remains but the word "Brakes" disappears. When I
select "Start Flight/Load Aircraft", The word Brakes reappears, but the error "No Parking Brake-Can't Start Flight" appears.

Sonny

I do not see an FS9.cfg file in my FS9.exe folder.

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - pagir - 19-07-2005

Rafiq if the red box only show "Brakes" it's not ok. It must be this way:

[Image: parkingbrakes1bu.jpg]

If it's not, press CTRL-. to set the parking brakes.

After the flight, set CTRL-. to set the parking brakes before ending the flight.

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - Rafiq4 - 19-07-2005

Pagir,

I cannot set the Parking Brake !!! I have tried using Cntrl + . , but it does nothing. Just the word "Brakes" appears. I have located the
FS9.cfg file, and it contains the following:

BRAKES=190,8
BRAKES_LEFT=122,8
BRAKES_RIGHT=123,8
PARKING_BRAKES=190,10

How can I change it to say "Parking Brakes - Press Period (.) to Release"?

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - pagir - 19-07-2005

At least we know that's an Fs9 issue... But I'm not a crack at all with this...

Are you using an QWERTY or an AZERTY keyboard?

Pagir

Re: PLEASE READ PREVIOUS POST BEFORE POSTING - Sonny - 20-07-2005

Rafiq4

If you can find a line reading:
show_brake_message=0
then delete this line in your fs9.cfg file. (it removes the red box saying brakes).

Normally it's not in the fs9.cfg by default.

Have you checked your key-assignments?
