my ideas to improve fsp - briansommers - 09-07-2005
here is a list of stuff i would like to see in future versions
1. need the option to fly from and land at the same airport, - this simulates giving rides and sightseeing
2. have the option to fly the same passengers from the last airport you landed at, - this simulates charter work, where the a/c stays with
the passengers until they decide on when to go "home"
3. option to list all a/c to purchase/lease instead of having to load one a/c at a time
4. have an company manager interface outside of fs2004, so that way you could work on buying/selling/leasing a/c without having to start
up fs all the time
5. need the option to lease
6. need the option to set up a complete schedule
7. need the option to charge for cargo
8. need the option to charge for time vs. charge for distance - this needs to be allowed per flight
9. need to be able to set crew individually per flight, there is an option to have crew on heavy only and heavy and turboprop, but what about
small tubroprops? for examaple i would want a crew on B1900C but not on B200, etc, see?

9. There is a setting to select crew for all planes. These can be changed before each start of a flight.
7. You can already choose to transport cargo only & get paid for it. Just don't slide the passenger bar, only the cargo.

what i meant by 7 was i want to be able to set the price, the actual dollar amount
i want to simulate an on demand cargo company, people pay high dollar when they need something from pt a to pt b right away, its like
charter except intead of people you haul cargo, usually time sensitive material, or financial material, etc

Come on mate! What you need is a CUSTOM fspassengers under your orders and wishes. But you know it is not possible

Exactly... your ideas are noted, however with FSP just being released about a week ago, we can't really fill special requests. It'd be great
for everyone to be 100% satisfied, however we don't live in a perfect world. Let Dan rest (for a few days at least... lol)... I'm sure we'll see
some updates in the future.

Furthermore, we have to be careful to not turn it into a "version" of Airline Tycoon either, know what I mean ?

I would like to see the route(s) you fly effect your company's reputation, as well as the amount of people that will board your plane. Its kind of
silly that a 737 taking off from some ho-dunk airport that happens to have the ability to handle a 737, in the middle of nowhere, flying to another
ho-dunk airport in the middle of nowhere that happens to have the ability to land a 737.....could do so fully loaded.
Or maybe you can compete for specific routes that vary in value with other companies. You select a predefined route to fly, and if you do it better
and faster that other companies, then more people will choose your airline.
i dont know...alothough this add-on really did drastically change the way i play this game, as well as up the fun factor 10 fold....it still has that
"fly from point A to point B for no real reason" feel to it. Not the fault of Dan's, or any of the rest of the FsP crew, just hard coded by Microsh*t

Hi !
Maybe can you extend the add on to online functions. Exporting flight report is a great first step. Maybe can you open an aircraft "stock
exchange" or something like that.

Paton maybe an idea to join a VA? They either have routes that you get assigned or free routes but within the specifications of that
particular Virtual Airline, there is a heap of them online, I'll leave it up to you as to which one you pick.
