failures percentage and aircraft maintenance - Prosdocimo - 06-01-2016 Hi, does avoiding routine aircraft maintenance increase failures probability? This question came up to my mind as we set failure probability in Company settings (as 5% for instance) so I'm wondering how poor maintenance could modify this 5% of failures probability. Thanks! A really good adage to operate by: "An ounce of prevention is like a pound of cure....but whole lot cheaper" Re: failures percentage and aircraft maintenance - Prosdocimo - 06-01-2016 Quote:Joeflyer wrote: Thanks, so why a choice of failure percentages is also given in Company settings? (my original question) Post Edited ( 01-06-16 20:09 ) Re: failures percentage and aircraft maintenance - Joeflyer - 06-01-2016 5% fits more in to the real world possibility of a failure occurring...even with a well maintained fleet. Of course if the fleet is poorly maintained, the likelihood of another failure happening will increase. Re: failures percentage and aircraft maintenance - SamTDS - 06-01-2016 It's also a customization option which allows you to make it harder by having more or washer by having less Re: failures percentage and aircraft maintenance - Joeflyer - 07-01-2016 Prosdocimo, It's best that you review page 23 of the .pdf document that comes with the software. This will give you a good understanding of the % failure logic. Re: failures percentage and aircraft maintenance - Prosdocimo - 07-01-2016 Found it Thank you! Have a good day Re: failures percentage and aircraft maintenance - Joeflyer - 07-01-2016 No problem ![]() |
