failures percentage and aircraft maintenance - Prosdocimo - 06-01-2016

Hi, does avoiding routine aircraft maintenance increase failures probability? This question came up to my mind as we set failure probability in Company settings (as 5% for instance) so I'm wondering how poor maintenance could modify this 5% of failures probability.
Thanks!

ik the gurilla zones increse faliure percent to simulate bad maintanance, we would nee dto ask dan about if the faliure chance goes up with maintanance
needed

Yes, if you fail to keep all of your aircraft maintained, the chances are the aircraft will have a more frequent occurrence of problems...thus costing
your company more $$$. A really good adage to operate by: "An ounce of prevention is like a pound of cure....but whole lot cheaper"

Thanks, so why a choice of failure percentages is also given in
Company settings? (my original question)

5% fits more in to the real world possibility of a failure occurring...even with a well maintained fleet. Of course if the fleet is poorly maintained,
the likelihood of another failure happening will increase.

It's also a customization option which allows you to make it harder by having more or washer by having less

Prosdocimo,

It's best that you review page 23 of the .pdf document that comes with the software.
This will give you a good understanding of the % failure logic.
