[Solved]ifly 737 wrong Vspeed at landing - mllgrennman - 03-09-2015

FSP is always telling me I landed harder than I really do with the ifly 737...The report said my V speed at touchdown was
-500 fpm..I know this is
wrong. I put her down much more gentle than that.

Prove it.

How do you know that this is wrong? I only fly the 747 and sometimes I also make too hard landings, thats (maybe) my own fault.
The problem is always that you cant really see 3D depth in FSX because it's a 2D SIM !
Imagine the height of your aircraft set correct landing speed and flaps.
Also auto pilot can help you: take over/disable autopilot when 2 nm to go and make manual landing.
Good luck.

Many times I think that my landing with the PMDG 737 is much better than what the end of flight report states. It's a matter of perception of what you
think you feel when landing.

this is definitely wrong...ive been flying fsp since it first came out and flight sim even longer...the only way i can prove this is not an accurate
report is to post a vid...or show all my other logs with kiss landings...every time i fly the ifly 737 i make sure to put her down as gentle as
possible because i know the report is going to screw me...there is noooo way that last landing was -500fpm...no way...something is wrong...ive been
doing this for a while and its not me on this one...its every time just with this plane...every other planes report matches up with my expectation

If you think FsP is incorrectly reporting the vertical speed on landing for this aircraft, possibly you could send Dan an email with as much
information as possible.

Re: ifly 737 wrong Vspeed at landing - mllgrennman - 07-02-2016

Seems I was completely wrong...i took a peek at the VS gauge at touchdown and FSP was reporting right.
This is another example of how valuable FSP can be. I was landing the plane much harder than it looked in flightsim...But thanks to FSP giving me real
landing data...I'm a better pilot...Thanks again!

Practice makes near perfect Wink Happy to hear all is well!
