Points requirement for each rank? - xwhitemousex - 06-08-2015

I'm loving FSPassengers and recently picked the game up again when I saw the FSX steam edition.

I also saw that one of the DLC aircraft on Steam was the Republic Seabee... since I love seaplanes, and the Seabee also being able to land on, well, land... it was an
obvious aircraft I wanted.

Now, as I mentioned, I recently picked the game up again... so I took from water and landed on land... problem is... parking brakes were on (they don't prevent you
taking off on water, but have to be enabled to get passengers in)... so I landed on dry land, with parking brakes on, and ended up noseflipping the whole Seabee
(DURR!).

That also meant my new pilot lost 1250 bonus points.

So now I have more than enough hours of flying to achieve next rank, but I lack the points due to that Seabee incident.

This made me wonder how far behind am I on points to achieve the rank after that then... and next one, and next one?

I've looked through the documentation both in-game and the one that is supplied... I've checked the FAQ's, the forum and google, but coming up empty.

The in-game Pilot Information only shows you how many hours of flying are required per rank... but NOT how many points for EACH rank, ONLY the points required for
the NEXT rank.

So question is...

Where can I find a list that shows BOTH the hour + points requirement for ALL ranks in FSPassengers?

Only hours are required for the next rank, not points. Don't get fixated on this Smile

Re: Points requirement for each rank? - xwhitemousex - 06-08-2015

Points are required...

I have the hours required for next rank... but it says I need points... and I have not achieved my next rank...

Ergo, points ARE a requirement Hunappy

See the screenshot below.

I have 15h02 of flight time... requirement for next rank is 12h00.

I have 1756 points... the requirement for next rank is 2001.

And I am not rank c2 Hunappy

So what are the rank requirements further up?

Hmm, I must be stuck in the older versions of FsP. Carry on...keep flying, have fun and don't worry so much about how many more points or hours you
need. What is the hurry?? I never paid attention to what points/hours were needed for the next rank....but that's just me.

Re: Points requirement for each rank? - xwhitemousex - 06-08-2015

Well, I just hit 2000+ points and got promoted.

It's not so much a hurry as it is wanting to fly something other than a Cessna :p

I'm dying to fly the Caravan, Twin Otter and Beaver. And yeah I know I can fly those outside FSPassenger, but that's just meaningless (besides practice).

And I don't like non-career pilots cause that just feels like cheating.

I like to earn my stripes, but when doing so I like to know what is required to get the stripes.

If I had a program that could edit db files then I would have already put my pilot to the duel engine\turbo prop rank so I'm not stuck with tiny aircraft and can
use the let 410

Re: Points requirement for each rank? - xwhitemousex - 07-08-2015

Well... c2 rank is 2001 points. I'm going to write down the points requirements as I progress since it seems noone has a clue what the requirements are per rank. At least
not based on the forum searching, googling, FAQ reading and other places I've tried to find this information.

I just don't understand why the point requirement has to be kept as some kind of big secret when the hours required are clearly listed.

Re: Points requirement for each rank? - Joeflyer - 07-08-2015

Why don't you send Dan an email and ask him to provide this in an update?

Re: Points requirement for each rank? - Becks - 08-08-2015

Just attained C8. Requirements for C9 are 142 hours and 15537 points. Great
add on..no problems whatsoever and looking forward to getting into the
heavier jets.

There is a list of points, hours needed for each rank. I think it is in the pilot section from the FsPassengers menu. Cant remember exactly how to get there but it is there somewhere. Ill have a look next time I fly.

Update

Open the Pilots flight log from the FsPassengers menu.
At the bottom is a button to View Pilot Detail. This shows the hours and points needed for the next rank upgrade.
Click on the FSP Rank Info button for a list of Ranks and hours needed.
Hope this helps.

In case anyone is curious there are scenarios other than "National company" to challenge your skills.

I know where to find the rank requirements.

However, they only list the points required for the next rank. It doesn't list the points required for the rank after that, or the next after that...

The hours are clearly listed for ALL ranks. Points listed only for next rank.

I want to see the points required for ALL ranks, just like the hours.

Anyhow. I started to compile a list as I progress. I've added the c9 requirement as listed by Becks. I'll go through it and add in the hour requirements as those are
shown already under the rank menu later today if I get the time.

You can find the googledoc reference listed below. Would be cool if you guys could help fill in the blanks.

I opened up the sheet and it said view only. In the sharing you need to allow it to be modified so that other people can add stuff in directly. If I remember
correct then points for c1 is around about 1200, we just need a new pilot to check what it says about points needed in the info
