Compatibility between Prepar3D and FsPassenger. - Branech - 23-10-2011
I can not run FsPassenger with the new Prepar3D simulation sofware.
Yet almost all FSX sofwares are compatible with P3D.
What solution can you offer to us ?
Many of us will take this program very promising in the future.
We do not want having to do without a such essential fspassenger software!

Not all add-on aircraft will work with FSP, and that is usually down to the differences in the way FSP and the add-on aircraft are programmed.
However, in order for us to help you, we need much more information from you:
1) What OS are your running
2) How much RAM do you have
3) Was FSP the last add-on you installed for FSX?
Please bear in mind that FSPX was not designed to run on Windows Vista or Windows 7 systems, and although a number of users to not encounter issues, there may be some thast you experience.

1) I am running with windows 7 64bits
2) I have 12288MB RAM
3) I use FSPassenger since a long time with FSX especially with PMDG 737NGX and IVAO (with windows Vista and Seven)
Actually I use P3D and I fly with PMDG 737NGX and IVAO but unfortunately I cannot use FSPassenger.

If I install FSP in P3D I have a message (aproximatly: SP1 and SP2 are missing).
If (like IvAp of IVAO) I install FSP in FSX and if i renames P3D.exe in fsx.exe and if I add the FSP text in the P3D DLL.xml
the FSP menu is not displayed in P3D.
I have a screen capture of the FsPassenger setup log but (here) I cannot send it in attached file.

If you have a screen capture, you will need to set up an account on a free hosting site like Photobucket and then link the picture from there to here.
So P3D is a stand alone prgram to FSX? Even though it apparently uses the base programming of FSX, there is no guarantee that FSPX will work with P3D
as it was not designed to run with that software.
To be honest I think this one needs to be taken on by Dan, the developer of FSP.

Very interesting.
Prepar3D is a version of FSX that adds realism to the stock software, apparently for professional (mainly military) simming purposes. And then we
get someone - probably Ukranian judging by the grammar - turning up and asking why FSPassengers isn't compatible with it?
"Hurr-durr we've stolen a sim so PLZ CAN WE HAZ YOUR INTERLECHTUAL PROPERTY SO IT WORKS TOO?"

And as everyone knows, Lockheed is owned by Walmart which is owned by 7-11 which is owned by General Motors who as we all know
is owned by the US government who as we all know is owned by Dunkin Doughtnuts. Thus the riddle is solved.

Err, no. I didn't say that Lockheed had stolen anything. You've misinterpreted me.
What I was jokingly suggesting was that the original poster in this thread had stolen Prepar3d and FSPassengers and was trying to get
them working together.
The reason being that if Lockheed themselves wanted to use FSPassengers, they would approach Dan directly and would arrange a
corporate license or agreement.

Maybe I'm being a little dense here, ok maybe MORE than dense as usual, but what is the BIG difference between FSX and Prepar3D? It's too bad no one
can develop a sim that can automatically optimize the sim based on system specs (comes with the program)
Now I would pay big money for that!Anyway, back on point...
Let's be realistic here. What do you think is the probability of Dan working on a upgrade patch for Prepar3D?
