food and liquor points - mjfmn - 09-08-2011

I know I please my passengers when I play music during taxi, serve food and drinks during the flights, etc. But if the mini-report is already
showing me at 100%, and later it shows a couple extra points for pleasing my customer, are those points taken into consideration later,
perhaps during landing ifI bounce once, or if there's turbulence and their anxiety goes up? In other words, am I wasting my time doing
these things to keep them happy and see the extra points if they never count for anything?

You are doing the right thing. Here are some tips, if your making a sort flight (1or 2 hours) you shouldn't have to feed them at all,
Remember that a hot meal keeps the pax happy for four hours so on longer flights you should feed the cattle accordingly. On long flight
consult your in-flight report and the stewerdess will let you know how much longer before the passengers will be hungry, feed them
accordingly. Keep in mind that you you only have two hot meals and three sandwichs to hand out. If you land with 98 % just playing the
music while taxiing to the gate will get you back to 100.

Thanks, gbapache. How about when I just take off, and am already at 100%? Do I benefit at all from playing music while taxiing, or
getting them a beverage during the flight?

After you fly through turbulence your passengers will be scared and satisfaction will drop. Give them a drink to get back up some points.
Music while taxxing will only help with points when youre' on your way to the gate.

That's what I thought - thanks! It's one less thing I need to try and remember during taxi, after the safety announcement!
