Unacceptable - Condor1 - 10-06-2011

I haven't neither the time nor the inclination to deal with this....although a famous line from a descent movie, it is true: I still keep getting
the "need to purchase FSPassengers" message and I am tired of it...either someone fixes this, and I think all it would be needed is a new
activation code, or I want out and my money back! I did not pay $50 to be eternally harrassed by these malfunctions. I use the sim for
training purposes, not as a hobby, so please, someone fix this crap.

Re: Unacceptable - Joeflyer - 10-06-2011

Have you sent Dan an email or emails regarding your issues? If not, please do so. Use the "Contact" tab at the bottom of this page. Also, I will send
him an email with the link to your post.

If you have exhausted every possible solution, I hope Dan will be able to respond with a more definitive answer.

Edit: I have emailed Dan. From here it's up to him to respond.

Re: Unacceptable - Condor1 - 11-06-2011

Who is Dan? And why is it that there have to be "issues"...I understand things don't always work perfectly but I purchase this program
expecting a certain level of performance. I don't have the time to sit on my computer on this forum to browse every single problem trying to
find a solution, although I have done it. But this forum is ever growing with issues users are having.

Does "Dan" have an e-mail address I can contact him directly?

Re: Unacceptable - Joeflyer - 11-06-2011

Dan is the lone owner and programmer of FsP/FsPX. I have given you the instructions on how to contact him. Please see my previous
post. That is the only way I know that you can contact him directly....again, at the bottom of this page....click on "Contact" and you can send
him an email that way. There are 3 tabs to choose from...."Disclaimer", "About The Authors" and "Contact".

Your complaint is definitely a valid one, but to not have time to research an issue is really no excuse. When I have a problem with
software, I do the research first and then post in a forum or email/call the developer if no solution is found. I have a very busy
schedule,too...so, you are not alone in that department. I'm not making any excuses for Dan and the problems that users have faced
while using FsP/FsPX with Vista and Win 7, but he has commented that the program was not tested for Win 7 at the time he developed it.
Plus, I am unsure if he has even begun to research/test FsPX with Win 7 himself. Only he can answer that question.

From a personal experience, I have not had one issue with FsP or FsPX since I still use XP. Yes, I'm a late bloomer in that respect, but I
and several others attempt to point out the possible solutions to those who are still experiencing problems with the FsPX/Win 7
combination. Many have been able to fix their issues, some have not. I have no clue why that may be. Maybe it could be that those who still
have issues with the combination have missed one step in the chain of possible solutions? I really don't know.

Re: Unacceptable - Condor1 - 14-06-2011

Interesting for you to tell me what is or is not an excuse. What you do and how you run your life is your business, and it does not make it
right nor wrong. Good for you if you have the time and inclination to look for solutions when you encounter problems with software, but
maybe that only means you are spending too much time on your computer and away from important things like say, your family...I don't
know and I don't care. Again, run your business the way you choose to.

That aside, I am not sure if you are in Europe, but here in America when you buy something you buy it with an expectation that it is going to
perform at a certain level, and this sofware is not meeting my expectations. I'm affraid that there is always going to be "something" that
needs to be fixed or dealt with. I am a pilot and use the simulator for training and proficieny purposes, and looking for solutions for a
program I fully paid the price for is not at the top of my priorities.

For the record, I send an e-mail to Dan asking for a new activation code as of Saturday, with no response. I have today send another
message, this time asking for my money back.

I don't seem to be alone in requesting a full refund, so I hope this is being treated with the urgency it deserves.

Re: Unacceptable - Spectre230 - 14-06-2011

Redbird FMX has a full motion sim that might make you happy....only $59,800.

Is FsP over priced - IMHO yes, heck FSX gold edition only cost $30.

Is it buggy - yes So is most software out there including MSFS. Finding and fixing bugs is just the nature of software development hence the
seemingly endless stream of updates and patches for probably every app on your PC.

Getting angry by a "need to purchase message" Wonder Try restarting your pilots career over after hundreds of hours building it up all due to a fatal
accident you didn't cause. Hot

P.S.- your pompus, american attitude might explain why we're pretty much hated around the world. I agree with having high expectations but this is
put into perspective concerning the age of the product (what rev) and overall cost. Really dude, for $50 - lighten up or sign up for "real" sim time.

Just another american's opinion

You obviously mistaken me for someone who has a vested interest in the FsP company...You are sadly wrong. Like you, I am a customer, a pilot (C208 and
ATR-42) and an American. However, I don't expect to be handed solutions to every software problem on a silver platter. You are correct that we all
have certain expectations regarding the products we buy, but there are reasonable expectations that things do go wrong with those products. In this
case, I've tried to politely guide you in the right direction, but have received in return a distinctive condescending response. With that being
said, I suggest that you direct all of your future correspondence to Dan via email, as any future condescending responses from you will be
removed from the forum.

One other thing...I have not received a response from Dan either, so you are not alone in that regard.

Re: Unacceptable - Condor1 - 14-06-2011

Joeflyer: Fair enough.

Spectre230: it is not a matter of money, but of principle...and by the way, just because I live in America does not mean I am
one....sorry "dude".

Re: Unacceptable - Lakers - 15-06-2011

Easy now Condor 1. These aren't issues in
life, at the end of the day you're still breathing,
got a home to live, and a family. While other
people have nothing to eat.

Fair enough that you contacted Dan and
didn't get anything in return.

But you if you want people to treat you the
same way, you gotta show respect first.

I myself had been having troubles with this
software from the past, moderators are
helpful. Sometimes they resolve, sometimes
they don't.

Do you guys know which is the best Virtual
Airline outhere????

Re: Unacceptable - MrUnSavory - 15-06-2011

I have both FSP and FSPX, I am running Windows 7 64-bit and have never had problem. Even after rebuilding my machine a few times
never had a problem getting FSP or FSPX to work great the first time. Maybe instead of posting some whinny comment you could come in
here with a good attitude and receive the help you need. Your time is not any more valuable then the next guy in line. I find the program to
be a great enhancement and well worth the money I have spent on it. Maybe if you posted your system specs people could actualy try and
help you.

Re: Unacceptable - drgullen - 19-06-2011

I hate to say it, but the real problem here is Dan. He simply doesn't respond to people. He gets a grade of F for customer service skills in my
book. I emailed him directly once using his Orbiter page and told him to wake the @#$# up and start responding to people over here. He did for a
while, but he seems to have disappeared again.

Dan, once again, if you're going to charge us, you need to support us. Either respond to people when they email you or start giving away FSP for free
and then you can simply say, "It's free and the lone support is the forum."

Shame on you, Dan. Get with it already!

Re: Unacceptable - BestPilot - 19-06-2011

This man has developed not one but two versions of this software of which he is the only one in a position to offer support. He does not
have a whole team of people who can iron out all the bugs and offer support also. So you will have to be patient.
