Hi all,
i would like to know what "delayed" wavs are good for. I saw some modification too by the users
but i dont know when they start to work and in wich event.
Can i set my own music instead the 4 already set?

I modified the safety video to be a delayed wav file. I opened it in a wav editor and tacked on 8 seconds of silence to the front. This way, there's
more time after the door is shut for me to back the plane out of the gate and start the taxi. I hated how the flight attendant would rush to start
her safety schpeel as soon as the door was shut. Now insteed she starts it 8 seconds later while the plane is backing up and everyone's in
their seetbelt.
You can add custom music files to your set of airline muzak. It has to be in wav format, though. It's also is better if the file loops (ends and
begins without skipping) and isn't too long. Anything over a minute will start taking up more file space than you probably want, since wavs are such file space hogs. Also, the file name needs to overwrite one of the songs you already have in the lbrary; you can't have more than 5 songs. Sorry.
I just rescntly finished making a 45sec custom looping track of the theme from "Out of Africa" that I mixed myself. (I think Out of
Africa sounds so 'airline muzak' like lol!) I made the sound quality really low to save space, and it still sounds acceptable. Music that's played
over an intercom system isn't supposed to sound good anyways. I'd upload the file, but even though it my original mix, it's not my original music.
Too many copywright laws. :-P
