Australian Flying - ljfitzy - 30-01-2011

Howdy all

i have just stumbbled across this product and have added it to my cart on FS store, i just have a few questions about the product.

Firstly, Can you get this program to show up with real world Airlines, for example when i am on the sim i fly a Virgin Blue 737-800, can i
get the loading for passengers to identify i am flying for Virgin Blue?

Secondly, does the new sound over ride any sound on the sim currently? EG: seatbealt sign and smoking signs?

Thirdly, being an australian pilot, are there australian air hostess voices on this product

And lastly, how do the extra voices on the programw work, Air hostess, co pilot etc, just automatically or do we need to push buttons to get
them to speak?

If anyone could help me out with these questions thats would be great, i look forward to buying this product!

Liam

Welcome Liam,
To answer a couple of your questions, yes, no, yes, sometimes.Smile Go to flightsim.com. In the file search under jetliners, search for 737-800 Virgin Blue, they have seven as of ten secounds ago, avsim.com may have the same ones if not more. As for the sounds there are just acouple of extra stuff, nothing that will step on anything important. There is an Australian voicepack in the "more downloads"section at the top left of this page. Just select voicepack in the catagory and search Australian. The crew will talk to you automaticly when they need to let you know something and willtal to the pax when you do things for them (i.e. food them, water them, show them a movie).
I'll take two Fosters Premiums in a large frosted glass please. BeerFriend

Howdy,

Beers are in the mail lol.. dnt know how good a frosted glass will be for you though.

I already have a virgin Blue 737. does this mean the Virgin Blue plane will be able to be used in this program, good news about that
Australian voice pack too!!

Most aircraft are usable, the only ones i have that are problematic are the PMDG ones and A2A's magnificant B377.
You load the plane into FS then go to company manager and buy it. This can be more / less tricky depending on your settings for FSP, for example if
you are in economy mode you may not have the money, or perhaps your pilot is not qualified to fly the plane. Both of these can be switched off.

Re: Australian Flying - gbapache - 31-01-2011

I re-read your original post, I may have misunderstood you. If you were asking about a payload model for loading your pax then I'm afraid
the answer is no, I just looked. Sorry.

Re: Australian Flying - ljfitzy - 31-01-2011

Ok all, I have worked out how to build my virtual airline, now, I have the aust voice pack download however it says it's
copilot only!? Anyone know how I can get an australian cabin crew voice on there?

Also, is there a way I can control the seat belt light? It's says on the flight report it's automatic, how can I make it manual?

All in all, pretty impressed so far!

Anyon know of a good Australian voice pack?

Re: Australian Flying - gbapache - 31-01-2011

Go back into the FSP general setup (towards the bottom of the pull down menu) page through everything untill you find crew service, it's
in there.

RE: Voice pack.
One of the default packs that comes with FSP is of Australian Cabin crew.

Re: Australian Flying - ljfitzy - 01-02-2011

There is an australian voice pack as a default??

Is it listed as australian cabin crew?? i cant see it on there? i can only see the one i downloaded. but apparently that is only co pilot only.??

Re: Australian Flying - ljfitzy - 01-02-2011

P.S there is nothing in thr Australian Voice Pack Folder, ?? its empty?

IS there somthing i need to out into this folder to make it work?

Re: Australian Flying - whiskey-zulu - 01-02-2011

I think the Auzzie voice pack is the one titled Brad a Joline, but as it's been a while since I looked at that part of FSP, I can't say for sure.

Re: Australian Flying - ljfitzy - 01-02-2011

Can anyone else elaborate on this voice pack issue,

i try to select the 'aussie' voice pack however it just goes back to default?

I think that the default is the Brad and Joline pack. The flight attendent on my version is certainly Australian, personally i would like to have
a fantastic British one, but never mind. The co-pilot is chosen separately, the default is (i think) Dan.

Not sure why it would change your selection, other than the usual stuff, have you tried running as administrator etc..?

Re: Australian Flying - ljfitzy - 01-02-2011

Ok I cant see the brad and jolene voice pack either?

Is there an update i need to download??

Re: Australian Flying - ljfitzy - 02-02-2011

the aussie folder is empty and there is no sign of a brad and jolene folder

There is a brad and Adrienne folder but thats american...

So yeah, im stumped..
