Refuelling - Capt Crump! - 13-07-2005

I flew my Cessna, with two pax, from Shoreham in England to Faro Portugal. Being an idiot I decided to stop off at a small airport in
Central Spain to refuel. FSP did not tell me when I landed that there was a problem and I continued my journey to Faro, landing one
minute after my estimated time of arrival (despite the short stop for refuelling) I was penalised heavily. It said that the passengers were
angry at not reaching their destination. (perhaps they got out in Spain for the toilet, and I forget to check if they were back onboard before
take-off?) Is there any way round this? Other than having to create two seperate flights with two different sets of passengers?

Hello!

You can end your flight at the fuel airport, get your points for the leg and than instantly start a new fspassenger flight.

First you set destination for your planned fuel stop and in second fly you set your real destination.....

Cheers!

Re: Refuelling - smartboy4 - 13-07-2005

I think we should have a feature added in for refuelling. You don't want to end a flight and start one, at least it isn't realistic anymore Hunappy

Re: Refuelling - Ryanamur - 13-07-2005

Could be a GPS issue. FsPassenger get's the airport trigger by which airport you are closest too. You have to be carefull here. For example, CYYZ
(Toronto Pearson in Canada) will be OK for about 1/2 the parking ramp and not OK for the other 1/2. Unfortuately, there is nothing FsP can do to
correct that (aside from Dan building a database of ALL Fs2004 airport and having FsP look in the GPS if you are close.

About refuelling, you must end your flight and that is realistic. If you were a real pilot, you would record the two legs as two separate entries in
your logbook (because of the full stop landing). FsP forces you to do that.

Re: Refuelling - Pierino - 13-07-2005

Didn't someone mention in the forum that the flight is only terminated by applying the parking brake (or does this only affect the landing time?!).
This would mean that one could refuel at an airport (without using the parking brake) and then continue the flight.

I can't test it because I'm at work right now Sick

Re: Refuelling - SWAFO - 13-07-2005

I think you must set the parking brake to end the flight. I know that in the real world a flight rarely starts and ends with one leg. Perhaps a
multiple leg feature could be implemented? Just an idea.

Re: Refuelling - Ryanamur - 13-07-2005

There is nothing preventing you from using the same flight number for more than 2 legs. For example, you could fly from CYUL-CYYZ and
then CYYZ-CYWG with the same flight number. However, FsP will require you to unload and reload the plane at CYYZ. That's just the way
a real life pilot would do it too! He'd have to enter two flights in his log book. FsP works the same way.

Re: Refuelling - SWAFO - 13-07-2005

Yeah, and I don't have a problem with that either, because if I'm flying more than 1 leg, I'll usually shut down and restart my computer to
free up that extra RAM! lol.

You can't access the Fs2004's Fuel panel while FsP is running to prevent "cheating" and refueling in flight. For now, it's not possible to do
more than one leg without end FsP flight.
