Considering new airplane, anyone confirm Certification required? - xwhitemousex - 18-10-2010 I'm considering buying a new airplane for when I get to C4. I was thinking about http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_70_71&products_id=2436 , but I'm not sure if I can fly this with C4 rating? How can I tell without actually buying/installing the aircraft first? Figured this one would be a nice junior one to start on until I get C6 for the ATR-72, if I can fly it at C4 anyways. If not I'll just have to stick with my Cessna Grand Caravan. Re: Considering new airplane, anyone confirm Certification required? - gbapache - 18-10-2010 At C4 you can fly prop or turboprop less than 26,455. The BAE jetstream is listed in Airliners.net at MTOW of 24,000 lbs. As I see it therefore everything should be okey dokey to use this plane. Re: Considering new airplane, anyone confirm Certification required? - xwhitemousex - 19-10-2010 So you just looked the weight up on a real airplane site? Guess I should start doing that too then hehe. Has anyone flown this BAe Jetstream addon and can give me some firsthand heads up? I haven't ordered it yet, but I'm about to. The reviews look promising, but I always like to hear some first hand feedback if possible. |
