Virtual Airlines... friends flying for same airline? - xwhitemousex - 06-10-2010

Is it possible to have friends join the same airline / company you created?

The company manager shows 1 pilot... but why would I ever create a 2nd pilot and redo all the certifications all over again? Would be fun if a friend
could join as a straight up career pilot and fly for same company :D

Is it possible?

ok, All you need to do is copy the Database folder(in FSP Folder) and put it on your friends FSP Folder. if you start FSP. You should be able to work
For the same VA.

You can do this, but the company would not be linked, so you would have to update each other's database folders ona regualr basis, which would
overwrite one of them.

you are right, But this is probably the Best way. Since there is not any other way to do it.

Then what's the point of sharing a database file in these circumstances if you're just going to overwrite one person's achiievements each time you update?

Well, I guess I'll just have my friend come along as a Copilot when I do FSP flights. He doesn't have FSPassengers yet, but he ordered
some Cargo Pilot addon instead. So I can probably copilot for him on those flights Smile

Means we'll miss out on flight hours recorded against our stats when we copilot, but then again, you get the points when you fly yourself.
But it would be alot more fun at least for both of us to be working as a team, regardless of points or not Smile
