Aerosoft FDC with FSPX??? - X_Splinter - 17-03-2010

Another quick question.

Does anyone try FDC Live Cockpit with FSPX? (Of course with FDC cabin anouncement set to off)

Why use both, because FDC as a great AI co-pilot

thoues work great together.

haveing that Virtual co-pilot is a great help on arrival, when your worrying about other things

as long as the FDC cabin and GPWS is turned off. its great

i recommend makeing your own checklist for it thoue, the default ones are kinda, Blaa.

Thats great news.

Really? What do you recommend? You know you can share checklist they are saved on small files.

I gonna give FSPX another try, last time I use it... it gave a Fatal error and fsx never open again. The program is cool it is a shame. This I will
backup fsx.cfg file

Run yur FSX as admin and maybe that will stop the fatal error, if not, try looking at the other posts of people that have had the same
problem.

im currently working on a checklist for my Default 737. altho my default 737 is heavily modified (better gagues sound AIR file ECT). so
there will be mentionings of things not in the default. the checklist are preety short, so youll need to develop a flow procedure that works
for you, it will get things not mentioned in the checklist

Re: Aerosoft FDC with FSPX??? - X_Splinter - 05-04-2010

Alright, may I ask where did you get your updates? Because thats my favorite airplane...

Re: Aerosoft FDC with FSPX??? - timtomairways - 06-04-2010

most of the stuff on my 737 i did myself
i edited the panel, added the sound, and changed the AIR file

the panel has gagues from the payware ISG nad freindly panels FMC add-ons
it also use freeware gagues from various aircraft including the AS737 for FS9

the sound also came from the AS737

the AIR file came from POSKY 737-800

im currently fine tunning the checklist, after its running and tested good, ill type up a PDF yall can print out to help you stick with it

Re: Aerosoft FDC with FSPX??? - X_Splinter - 06-04-2010

I would like to see that checklist when you get it finish.

As for the plane I will probably buy the PMDG 737-800/900 which sounds great

Well that one FS2004 only... so maybe the Ariane version maybe be better but I heard they are heavy on fsx, I will wait for PMDG 737 NG

i dont want it to have a virtual cabin

they are just frame hogs. theres somebosdy o the PMDG fourm that sayed he would not buy it if it did not have the Cabin. needless to say
he got put in his place as the NooB (for lack of a better word) he is.

Cabin or Cockpit?

Does having a virtual cabin drops frame-rates?

If yes that sucks

cirtual cabins drop frames big time.

they only really work in small aircraft. say a citation. there fine there. but a 737 or 757, no think 5FPS in a area where you normally get 40

Dropping frame rates really does depend on the rig you are using; yes many off-the-shelf rigs won't have high end or super high end specs and so you
will have to compromise somwhere to get adequate frame rates, but only two years ago I managed to get a custom build with high end specs for £500
which allows me to max out the scenery in FSX (including numerous add-on AFCADS), max out the traffic (World of AI in my case of which I have 95% of
the packages) and weather and use the virtual cockpit (which I have grown to prefer over the 2D panels). The only time I ever have problems with
frame rates is when I am flying into somewhere new, but even then they drop down to about 20fps from 60-70.

Also you should consider setting your frame rate to unlimited in the settings instead of limiting it to a certain number.
