I regret purchasing AIr Hauler.. - kingm56 - 24-01-2010

because it's completely ruined my FSPx experience! Before I purchased AH I was extremely impressed with FSPx. However, once I
began to familiarize myself with AH, I quickly realized how immersive that game is...The business portion is simply outstanding!! So, I
played if for a few months and then tried to return to FSPx, but I quickly realized how trivial FSPx is. All of sudden the flirtatious stewardess
and poor business modeling bothered me. I still enjoy the potential of in-flight emergency but the rest of the game has become
mundane, especially the business portion. I no longer feel like there's any impact in completing a successful flight. I was wondering if
I'm missing something? Am I not using FSPx to its full potential? I would appreciate any advice you can give me.

i think it sounds like something simple

you like running the airline

i think the Buissnes managment part of FSp is preety basic, but that for ease of use

me personally i like not haveing to worry about the financial side of the airline, i just like to fly
luckly FSp has options for that so im good

also maby you like flying boxes rather than passengers.

id recommend Airhauler over FSp any day if all you wanted to do was fly cargo

but asfor passengers, FSp is still the best one out there

theres really not much we can say. its a personal prefrence

Tried Air Hauler once... well, business model is good, features of opening bases is really good.
But fact that you need to start FSX from that program - is a real pain, performance is really poor and so on. Immersion is much more deep in FsPassengers.
As I see, AH is working only with default crafts - that's a HUUUUUGE disadvantage.
So what I did is just removed AH and forgot is as bad dream.
Long Live FsPassengers! =)

Why is it a pain? Only difference is you click an icon on your AH interface rather than a fsx icon on your desktop.

No, you can add your addon planes to the database also.

I use both simultaneously. AH to plan flights and the business model and FSPax for loading, cockpit environment, potential failures and
the cool trick of typing in AP changes quickly. They work seamlessly together.
The best part is now Dan has written in a nerf in case a third party program causes a failure. FSPax senses the failed system, knows it
didn't do it, and doesn't penalize you for reacting to it appropriately. Nice touch Dan.

Edit: Didn't notice, this was post #800. As if anyone cares, including me. Rolleyes

I see you didn't read the manual..you can use any aircraft with AH! Also, there's absolutely zero performance hit when using this program,
so, I have no idea wth you're talking about.

Voloran...nice idea, I'll give that a shot.

Re: I regret purchasing AIr Hauler.. - Valoran - 27-01-2010

Yeah, importing third party planes is just a couple of mouse clicks each + inputing a few, ultimately meaningless (you don't have to do it
but job board works better if you do) performance numbers and then restart the program. No problem.

Hmmmm.....why are we discussing another program on this forum. It works with FSPax perfectly that's all you need to really know.

I have been using FSPax for almost a year with a VA, and enjoy the immersion factor of flying and maintaining my aircraft with random failures. So far
I have just had one, and that was a leaking fuel tank solved by cross feeding !!
Just a quick background of my setup. I chose the Econimic and Fixed Failures, but selected NO to the "Career" and "Instant recordings".
I decided No to "career mode" because I had 30 hrs with my VA, and NO to "instant recordings".
In summary, I really like using this program as a career log and would like to continue using with AH

So thats my background and here's the Question:

How compatibe is AH with FSPAX when it comes to loading A/C?
Not having any experience with AH, and as far as I understand it. So long as you load your freight and distribute using whatever means,...your good to
go with Air Hauler ! But when you run FSPAX module (exlcude fuel as having alread been loaded) the passengers board randomly, you adjust your
passenger cargo scales for CG and meet your ZFW and MTOW requirements. Does this mess up your original cargo arrangements?
Should you deactivate the FSPAX Econimics mode and NOT load passengers with FSPAX?

Interested in what people have done to accomplish successful loadings, so both program modules reach their goals!

Maybe I was being a lazzy last night, but this post appeared to have some relevancy to my question
So are there any AH / FSPAX experts that can guide me with their experience.
