Call-Outs with Keystrokes - JetlinerX - 13-01-2010 Hola! Just a quick question, when pressing a certain key like "V" or "B", a call-out from FSPassengers will say something like "Speed" and "Altimiter". Its kind of anoying when I am trying to use my keyboard to type into my FMC, and I just hear a buch of random callouts? Also, I have not seen them make any difference in the game when I press them, so is their a way to disable them? Thanks a million! Cheers! Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - whiskey-zulu - 13-01-2010 Not sure if there's a way to disable them, but so far as how they work in the sim, if you hit B then 2992, the altimeter will change to 29.92, same if you hit V then numbers. I guess you could try reassigning them to keys not used in an FMC? Or I have seen a couple of add-on USB FMCs around - I think one was on flightsimstore.com. Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - AeroJim - 13-01-2010 They can make a difference in some things-mostly AutoPilot settings or radio/nav frequencies. If you hit the D button and then 3 corresponding numbers it will enter in that frequency into your ADF-same with N for Navigation or C for Communication. As for turning those off I'll leave that up to somebody else. Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - JetlinerX - 13-01-2010 Thats what I thought. I always knew "B" worked, but that was an exsample ![]() something like that! Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - whiskey-zulu - 13-01-2010 Here's an example of a USB FMC: http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_156&products_id=1061 Enjoy ![]() Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - JetlinerX - 13-01-2010 Oohhhh... I cant stop watching the video. Just wish I had 600$ to spare on my own "home cockpit" ![]() Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - AeroJim - 13-01-2010 I'm pining to save $40 for Radar Contact! Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - JetlinerX - 13-01-2010 Whats that? Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - whiskey-zulu - 13-01-2010 Radar Contact is an add-on ATC program, which is meant to be very good, although I don't personally have it. Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - AeroJim - 13-01-2010 I used it briefly awhile back-he gave me a free trial and I was in love, I hate using FS w/o it to be honest, so sick of the 75 mile out vectors in a skyhawk, getting run over by CRJ's on final and having to divert quickly to the left to not get run over. . . urgh Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - whiskey-zulu - 13-01-2010 Erg - I fly heavies (mostly 777 now) in flight sim, and I hate those damned CRJs and Dash 8s that cut in on my 9 mile finals! Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - JetlinerX - 13-01-2010 But... Can I have a little discription of it? I dont get what it does? ![]() ![]() Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - JetlinerX - 13-01-2010 Oh and by the way, about your 777 post, (I posted the "Im Stupid" post after) I FREAKING WANT TO RUN THEM DOWN WHEN THEY DO THAT!!! ARGH!!!! Re: Call-Outs with Keystrokes - whiskey-zulu - 13-01-2010 http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11638 Tells you a bit about RC4, though they're making a version 5 at the mo.
