Arrival time check - Marcb - 11-07-2005

Ok, still very impressed by this wonderful add on! Wink

But I have a question. I'm flying in career and economy mode and today I started to use the flight time estimate option to see how well I
would do with that (I was a bit anxious to blow that one too often at first).
After having done 3 flights like that on each and every one I don't get any points for arriving on time or penalty for arriving too late. Huh It's
like the software ignores that I gave a arrival time altogether.

Is it possible that because I first didn't use that feature that now it doesn't check arrival time anymore even though I do fill out the fields at
the beginning of a flight? Or am I missing something?

Can't wait to be able to get myself some bigger planes. 2 Passengers per flight don't generate that much income. Cool

I appreciate any suggestions here, mostly because I want those points for my smooth planning and flying. Worry

Great piece of software though, the MSFS community needed something like this badly. Or at least I did. lol

Hi Marc,

Can you give me these numbers please:

Your planned arrival time
Your actual arrival time
Your total flight time

Don't forget that FsP only give you a bonus if your actual arrival time is within ( your planned arrival time + or - 3% of your total flight time). NOTE: I think it's 3%. Then, if you are between 3 and 12%, you don't get a penalty but you don't get a bonus either.

Phil

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the fast response.

Ehm, you got me there though, don't really have the data in my mind or written down somewhere. But if you say that it is possible that one
doesn't get a reward or penalty I guess it's ok. I was just wondering if not getting anything was an option in the software. You just verified
for me that it is, so I'm assuming I was within those 3% and 12% on those flights.

I'll keep an eye out on future flights to see if I can make it outside of that range. Big Grin

You're welcome... be carefull when setting the arrival time... Pax get angry if you keep them on the ground too long because you arrived early and are
waiting for the 3% range.

Hehe, thanks for the warning. Wink Though now I'm really tempted to try that scenario out to see how angry they can get. Big Grin

Re: Arrival time check - dagnon - 12-07-2005

Just an other question: wich time is taken in account for the arrival time ? Block time, or landing time ?
I think it's block time, but I'm not sure.

Re: Arrival time check - DBE - 12-07-2005

If I remember correctly, arrival time is when you set your Parking Brake.

Re: Arrival time check - JaWood - 13-07-2005

Correct. The clock stops ticking when you arrive at the gate and set the parking brake.

I just finished a 1h44m flight to El Paso today, and arived 4 minutes early at the gate. I got the bonus (yay!) The bonus applies when you arrive 3
minutes early or late for every hour of flight. So with my 1h44m flight my bonus window was about +-5 minutes

Re: Arrival time check - DanSteph - 13-07-2005

the time taken in account is BLOCK (parking brake time)
