How to abort a flight before takeoff because of a failure? - Furi - 15-05-2009 Hey guys, i need a little help, i play fsp for a long time and one failure is confusing me everytime i got it. I searched google, this forum, but no answers or i don't hit the right words, i don't know so please help me out ![]() The failure i can not handle is that "main door is not closed correctly" when you give full throttle for takeoff, ok i know what i have to do in Flightsim, so i abort the the takeoff. But what now, i can't call a mayday so how can i tell FSP that the flight is cancelled because of the problem aboard the aircraft? Re: How to abort a flight before takeoff because of a failure? - Tracker801 - 15-05-2009 Failure??? Its a failure alright but IRL its called 'Pilot Error' ![]() There is no solution or fix for it. It is your fault as a pilot for not checking (or have your crew check and report) doors are closed. Any checklist requires crew input, also from those behind you. Prior to pushback, any pilot confirms doors are closed. Sorry, no fix as its completely true. Re: How to abort a flight before takeoff because of a failure? - Furi - 15-05-2009 I know what you Tracker ![]() but how i can check the door if the crew says "all passenger aboard doors are closed", and FS shows me in outside view the Plane with closed doors? So i assume it is a Failure produced by FSP like a Flameout or something? But this problem is a example only cause i get it very often. Another one is you start a flight, let the passanger board the Aircraft, all is ok the pushback begins and you are clear to start the engines, the first 3 engines all seems normal but the last engine works not correctly. Shut down and start again gets no effect, so what to do? ESC and Quit the flight or is there a way to end such a flight normal but i'm only to stupid to find it? ![]() Re: How to abort a flight before takeoff because of a failure? - SkyAirWorld - 16-05-2009 To end the flight in FSP, as with real world, if the engine can not perform correctly, taxi back to the parking station (or Gate) and Put the parking brake on, and go into FSP and go "end flight" Re: How to abort a flight before takeoff because of a failure? - Furi - 16-05-2009 Hello SkyAirWorld, I tried this, and hear the massage that passengers can now leave the aircraft through the emergency exits, but they don't do this ^^, seatbelt sign is going of and it looks like in flight, no one is leaving. If i try to end the flight i will get the massage to abort the flight or to continue. But if this is the right way, to abort without recording the flight than i never asked, and thank you for helping ![]() Re: How to abort a flight before takeoff because of a failure? - SkyAirWorld - 16-05-2009 You need to have the parking brake on for the passengers to exit the aircraft. If you are doing this and they wont exit, then there was no failure. Re: How to abort a flight before takeoff because of a failure? - Longhaul444 - 18-05-2009 Under the menu section select cancel destination and the stew will anounce there is a problem and the flight destination has been cancelled then taxi back to the gate and set the brake, shut down the engines, and open the door. Passengers should disembark. Then after all have left select end flight as normal. Re: How to abort a flight before takeoff because of a failure? - Furi - 20-05-2009 Hey Sky and Longhaul, I will give it a try next time it happens. Thx a lot for helping guys ![]() |
