Repaint Requests - panam1736 - 05-03-2009

Hi,

for my FS Passengers company, I wanted to play a revived version of Pan American World Airways. Alas, as we all know, Pan Am went
down in 1991 and so they didnt have many of the current airplanes in their fleet. I was wondering if anyone would repaint a few planes for
me in the Pan Am livery, I have provided a link below to suggest the general texture presentation:

Id be happy to offer compensation to show my gratitude if anyone was willing to help. Thank in advance for reading and replying.

Panam, have you tried Avsim.com for any repaints?? That's a very good start Smile

Hi Joeflyer,

yes I have checked avsim and all the Virtual Pan Ams also, they only offer planes for FS2004, but im using FSX so no good.... Way I see it,
ill either have someone to make them for me or ill have to learn how to myself, but since im not really too PC knowledgeable, this might
be a long process and I was more interested in flying/playing FS Passengers x than repainting.... Thats why im offering to pay for my
repaints as an incentive....

A lot of planes that were made for FS2004 are also very compatible with FSX.

OK but how do I know if it is compatible or not.... not sure I wanna try installing/uninstalling.....

Re: Repaint Requests - panam1736 - 15-03-2009

Guess no one is interested in painting planes here, too bad, anyway, if anyone wants to make some money, im still looking to get
repaints of some planes:

PMDG 747x and MD11x

Wilco/Feelthere a340-300 and a340-600 and a330 (200 or 300 I dont mind)

All in the Pan Am livery for FSX. Thank you

I'm not sure about compatibility but project opensky has a few planes with PAN AM paint. I just purchased a program from abacus the other day called
FS repaint that makes painting aircraft very easy. You probably won't get them perfect but you can get close enough fairly quick and the program takes
a lot of the work out of painting them. If you still want someone to do them you may try asking on the forum for the particular aircraft that you want
painted or a general flight sim sight such as the avsim forums in their designer section. Most people here are like you and are more interested in
flying than repainting aircraft.

Thanks marineman for writing. I own Abacus Fs Repaint also, unfortunatly, you cannot use it to repaint PMDGs and Wilco/Feelthere
planes as the textures are either incomplete or just dont appear at all. Ill try posting on the avsim repaint forum yes.

Re: Repaint Requests - UK-1133 - 17-03-2009

To make them compatible, basically update the sounds & the cockpit to one with the correct type setup (same engines, etc) as the plane

ok sorry but how do I do that....

Re: Repaint Requests - SkyAirWorld - 19-03-2009

Say your flying an FS2004 737

in FSX that isnt compatible, replace all the sounds in the FS2004 737 with the FSX 737 sounds etc

( i dont know if that works, as I do not have FSX)

Re: Repaint Requests - panam1736 - 25-03-2009

well since you dont have fsx its hard to know if that would work...im affraid to screw up something....guess ill stick to trying to bribe
($$$...lol) someone kind enough andslightly interested in making some cash, to make em for me Doubt

Re: Repaint Requests - SkyAirWorld - 25-03-2009

It wouldn't 'screw' anything up. If it didn't work simply delete the test aircraft's folder.
And not having fsx makes no real difference. It should still operate the same. However you seem ever so keen on spending money.

lol no i am not keen on spending money but i dont see any other way to interest anyone in my request and this is far from the only place
ive been looking.... and the planes i need are made by pmdg and wilco could i still do what u said....both of their planes are pretty
advanced way more than default fsx planes...
