Food/Drink service VS Cost. Can someone assist please? - airbus74 - 06-03-2008 Could one of the long users of this brilliant add on assist me here please? I would like to know the ratio? rational? between the cost (Seat?) in different classes, the cost ( Food / drinks) VS the Cost of the service. I am trying via excell to see the earnings VS the spending, and may be someone may have a clear answer for me please? example: is the cost of serving meal for the flight or per serving? How can I tell how many pax have had drinks sandwiches or hot food? ( or is it a full amount / pasenger loading? ) It appears the cost is alway greater than the revenue..... $$$$$$$ Thanks heaps in advance Regards Airbus74 Auckland Re: Food/Drink service VS Cost. Can someone assist please? - homer09001 - 10-03-2008 if the Cost is greater than the revenue then maybe the cost to the airline to bring the food in is greater than what you are charging? if you follow my drift if not: airline pays $5 per meal airline charges passengers $4 per meal making a $1 loss on each meal? Re: Food/Drink service VS Cost. Can someone assist please? - jeffreycor - 29-03-2008 Also if you charge too much for services fewer will buy them, resulting in lower total income from it. You might try lowering the price a bit so you have more sales and get a small profit. Re: Food/Drink service VS Cost. Can someone assist please? - Valoran - 30-03-2008 I'm making profit on services right now. I have the quality set at 80% and the prices set to the highest possible "medium" price. (VIPers get drunk for free of course!) I'm making about $1 per meal/drink served. I also do auto services so that might make a difference as well. |
