(-800) You had a serious failure aboard and you forgot to call a mayday. (-350) Commercial aircraft are not designed for aerobatics, you created excess G-force. (-400) Opening doors while in flight is a VERY bad idea. (-600) You made a very hard landing at -60021 ft/mn and the tires sustained damage. (-400) Exceeding maximum speed of this aircraft is very dangerous. (-600) Parking brake should only be used when that aircraft has stopped, you used it at speed of 104 kt your aircraft was damaged. (-400) All aircraft are prohibited to exceed 250Kts below 10000 ft AMSL; your speed was 5354 Kts above this limit Our company received a fine of 374,197Kr.. Theres no way a DHC8-100 could sustain 5354 kts. I would have disentegrated, and it certainly couldn't have survived impacting the ground at more than 60,000 fpm. Thats equivalent to hitting the grown with a direct downward force of 600 knots. Sorry, but nothing survies that. Impressive numbers though. I think that worst I've have was hitting the ground with a downward force of something like 30,000 fpm. Happened when I walked away from the computer on a transcon flight, AP disconnected somehow and the plane stalled and and went straight into the ground. Re: Hardest landing at all!(without crashing) - Canada_Boy - 16-08-2007 Wow, how did you manage that ![]() My worst so far has been 460 ft/mn But yes, you must have had the crash detection off, if not then if must be a glitch of some kind, but I doubt that. Nice landing though ![]() Re: Hardest landing at all!(without crashing) - JanniCash - 16-08-2007 I seem to recall that some early Russian supersonic jets had the problem that the paint burnt off the nose when they pushed the limits at low altitudes. Although that might be a myth, I am certain that a Dash-8 would lose a few bolts at 5000 knots above Vne (including the parts the bolts were holding ... like the wings and other details you might find useful on approach).
