Landing - The_Blade_Uk - 28-11-2006 Hi does anyone know of any good programs how to form a ILS landing, i currently use Level D 767 and PMDG 747 they have a loc button that intercepts the loc and then you arm the land mode, the thing is im getting fed up and want to fly other planes but they dont have this feature any1 have any other ideas??? Re: Landing - poden - 29-11-2006 How are you with just doing visual landings using small aircraft? That's the fundamental thing to learn first. From there you can move to instrument landings which don't use an auto land mode (i.e. use just a VOR display). At that point you can pretty much land anything. Re: Landing - DBE - 29-11-2006 Hi Blade, All modern jets (and most civil props) have an "Approach" mode. Re: Landing - Ceemosp - 29-11-2006 I fully agree with Poden. Learn to walk before trying to run ![]() You should learn how to read stars and approach plates, as well as how to intercept a localizer and glideslope. Not all airports are equipped with IFR capabilities and a loc-button doesn't help you if you have to do a NDB-VOR/DME approach. Also think about the fact that you are using an addon that simulates airline operations thus it's something to make the experience more realistic. Flipping a switch and lean back for autoland is kind of counterproductive in this respect.
