Landing Lights - shnookumlooks - 17-09-2006 I turned on basic lights and understand that they have to be on between the runway and FL100. Does this also apply to GA aircraft? You would rarely cruise a 172 above FL100 so this would mean that the landing lights stay on all the time?? Re: Landing Lights - Drew - 17-09-2006 Correct Re: Landing Lights - ariccsr - 18-09-2006 if you are just flying a 172, turn off the light penalty option. Re: Landing Lights - Brian F. - 18-09-2006 Or just leave the light on? Re: Landing Lights - lar007 - 19-09-2006 Or turn off the light penalty option and leave the light on Re: Landing Lights - Ryanamur - 20-09-2006 You're OK with basic light. But you can't turn on the Realistic Light Penalty because of the shared beacon/strobe button... and yes, your Landing Light must stay on below 10,000' even in GA aircraft. Phil |
