Sample Flight Log from FSP - SWAFO - 19-06-2005 Hi all, After flying with the latest FSP beta version, and I think we're getting VERY close to release. The product is flawless, and meets and exceeds all of my previous expectations of this product. Anyway, I just finished Southwest Airlines flight 2479 from Phoenix to Reno (a route I've flown a few times in real life) with the new beta, and thought I'd post my flight log (the detailed report you're presented with after the flight). Here it is (please note that some of the sections are color coded differently... see Dan's screenshots for an example): -----------START OF FLIGHT LOG-------------- Flight WN2479 End of flight report Date June 19 2005 Flight Id: WN2479 Pilot: Brad Smigiel Company: Southwest Airlines Aircraft: PMDG 737-700 Flight Date: June 19 2005 Departure: 10h00 (17h00 GMT) Arrival: 11h26 (18h27 GMT) From: KPHX - Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl - Usa To: KRNO - Reno Tahoe Intl - Usa Nbr of Passengers: 128 Report: Flight Distance: 522 Nm Landing Speed: 123.92 kt Time Airborne: 01h14:28 Landing Touchdown: -84.6 ft/m (kiss) Flight Time (block): 01h20:12 Landing Pitch: 5.42° Time On Ground: 00h11:45 Landing Weight: 116258 lbs Average Speed: 420.88 kt Total Fuel Used: 7629 lbs Max. You can watch it with word, wordpad it will look the same than the report in FsP. This is usefull if you want to post it or send it to anyone... Cheers Dan Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - SWAFO - 19-06-2005 Dan, That's how I posted this one. I think the forum couldn't display the different text and spacing. Oh well, it's a good example. Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - Big Vern - 19-06-2005 Nice and detailed. The prospects for FsP just get better and better. No caviar and champagne for the punters though...shame on you! ![]() Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - briansommers - 19-06-2005 wow that is very exciting, that really give some purpose to your flights! i was wondering, can a person set a certain price for a ticket? suppose i want to fly 5 pax in a lear jet - does the program compute the ticket price or can i set it? thanks Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - Shane Herbel - 20-06-2005 Hi Brian, You really hit the nail on the head with that phrase. ...gives some purpose... That is really what I get out of FsP aswell. Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - SWAFO - 20-06-2005 Brian, Yep... you get to set ticket price in various classes of seating, as well as the meal, drink, and sandwich price and quality. FSP is very, very detailed and dynamic. Many aspects are adjustable! Looks like it will be out soon! Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - Big Vern - 20-06-2005 I was wondering about ticket pricing - even within the same "class" of seating the price can vary widely, e.g. if you book an Apex ticket 6 months in advance and stay over a weekend you might get a fare for (say) £400. If you book at the last minute and travel out and back the same week - putting your bum on exactly the same seat might cost twice that. I guess that's probably going too far into the retail side of things rather than operations. My emphasis will be on quality and excellent food, let down by the ham fisted flying of Captain Clueless (aka me!). We're off to Canada a week today for our annual holiday (A330/300 airbus both ways) so hopefully when we get back FsP will be ready and waiting to order. Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - clut - 20-06-2005 I'm a little confused about these lines in the report : ----------------------------------------------------------- Total Real Income: $25,341 Total Income: $1,267,050 (real x50) ----------------------------------------------------------- does this mean that any money we earn is automatically multiplied by 50?? I understand something must be in place to allow us to buy/rent new aircraft, and maintain existing ones, all of which would not be possible on the income of one single plane, so is this FSP's way of levelling the playing field?? Hope you understand the question, I didn't explain it very well.. Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - DanSteph - 20-06-2005 yes it's the way FsP use to allow you to buy other aircraft. Dan Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - fruitfly - 20-06-2005 it was explained in this thread: http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=142 Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - clut - 20-06-2005 thanks, I just took a read on that link and there's a lot of interesting stuff in there. KUTGW Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - briansommers - 20-06-2005 well about the above (x50) can a person change that? suppose i dont want the financial boost and i want to keep it real, can i change it to x1 ?? Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - DanSteph - 20-06-2005 Yes you can... you need to define a "company scenario setting" Define the scenario CFG with the parameter "IncomeMultiplier" to 1 and create your new company with this scenario setting. see this thread: http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=32 and this one: http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=46 Warning the screen showed and information have changed since but the principe remain exactly the same. Dan Post Edited ( 06-20-05 17:12 ) Re: Sample Flight Log from FSP - georak - 21-06-2005 Message to Brad ... Maybe I make a fool out of myself by asking: How on Earth could you manage to climb to FL360 within 13 minutes. If I am correct, you should have maintained an average 2600 ft/min climb all the way up without desperately slowing down. When I tried it, I could only do it in about 23 minutes. Could you please give me some hints about that? Obviously, I am doing something very wrong! Many Thanks... |
