Bigger Planes, Bigger Income? - Joshuah A. Wetzel - 31-07-2006

Hey everyone,

When you buy bigger and better aircraft, like a Boeing 747-400, does your fleet income increase more than if you have smaller aircraft like
a Cessna or Mooney? If you purchase bigger aircraft, will it generate more income for your company than smaller aircraft would? Any help
will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Yep, more pax, more cargo, increasing distance, all extra money Wink

Hey everyone,

So if I create a flight, the fleet income relies on the length, passenger number, and cargo of it? FSPassengers doesn't create "fake flights"
for my other aircraft in my fleet that I rarely use and generate a separate income for my company based on the length, passengers, and
cargo of those flights?

Also, if I purchase, let's say a Boeing 747-400 and a Cessna for my fleet, will I end up generating less money than if I had TWO
Boeing 744s?

Thanks,

I think he is talking about how the Fleet Bonus is calculated.

The fleet income is based on:

1- Your flight performance
2- Your flight profit
3- The total weight of your fleet (since that's how FsP calculates the max number of pax on an aircraft)

So, if you have a poor flight or you didn't make a profit, you can forget about getting fleet income bonus. In the same lane, if you have 1x
B744, you will generate more income then if you had 20x C172.

Also, for some reason you will end up making more if you fly your flight with your biggest aircraft.

Okay, but can the fleet generate an income even when you are not flying?

Re: Bigger Planes, Bigger Income? - Ryanamur - 01-08-2006

No, it's based on your flight performance to reward you for good flights. If you don't fly, you don't get fleet income.

Okay, I seem to be understanding it now!

I use the big birds to rotate my pilots through them to buld time too.
