250 or 200 - the_nick - 02-05-2006 can someone clear it out for me , I always learned , under the 10.000ft max 200knt and above 10.000ft 250+knt I was flying on a time and went 229 at 9.800ft and I got A penalty for exeeding with 49knt the limit so I started to see where the base of the penalty's laid but now it's starting to confuse me.I did also to test 250 at 9500 and it was all ok ![]() but what is now the rule Re: 250 or 200 - poden - 02-05-2006 Its 250 knots IAS (Indicated Airspeed) below 10,000 ft. You might have gotten a penalty due to a sudden wind shear, which briefly pushed your IAS above the limit. The wind shear problem is caused by FS' poor modeling of winds. This can be overcome by paying for a registered copy of the FSUIPC DLL or getting some other product. Otherwise, you could just disable the penalty. I highly recommend it, it's so much more powerful and realistic than the default FS2004 weather system and you don't get the ridiculous 40 knt or more IAS jumps. Re: 250 or 200 - the_nick - 02-05-2006 I've bought active sky 6, 5weeks ago , but I don't know how to use it really , now I installed everything I could with it ![]() thx for the buying site Re: 250 or 200 - poden - 02-05-2006 You can't enable the FSIUPC wind smoothing functionality unless you pay for a registered version. The free version is pretty limited in what it can do. But since you've already got Active Sky, that should take care of the problem. You just need to set it correctly. Re: 250 or 200 - the_nick - 02-05-2006 do you know any good settings for it ? |
