when you buy a 777. does it come with guaranty ? lol - aibiria - 24-04-2006

Hi everyone!!

After this experience im going to make a complaint to Boeing!!

Well, My tiny company had managed to buy a 777 after a hard work in my a320. I made at least 100 flights to get $150 mil to get this bird.
I felt so good when I press the buttom "buy current aircraft" to buy the 777 from pss.
My first flight meant to be from LEAL to MUCO (a intl airport in Cuba, don't ask me why I wanted to fly there, I just liked it the destiny).
So everything was ready for the inaguration, open a bottle of champagne, get ready the fmc, checklist and 2000 legs.
I took off from Alicante at 3.00Z approx, i was expecting a 12 hours flight or so, I left the new brand 777 on cruise till it get the TD. I was tired
so I left the plane flying (not a good idea ) and I went to the bed.

When I woke up in the morning I saw the terrific window saying "fs has detected a crash due to the pilot who was sleeping" Hunappy

The report came through leaving me flipping out as it said that due to fuel leeking the plane run out of fuel and the pilot didn't manage to
land it so it crashed. I couldn't believe it!!! A BRAND NEW BOEING 777 straight from seattle converted in 10000000000 pieces killing crew
and 180 paxs more!!!

What the h*ll???
Insurance paid me **** comparing with the original value of the aircraft. I still cannot believe it.
What Am I gonna do now??

So i've decided to make a complain to mr Dan Boeing for giving my company a defected aircraft. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Wink

I wouldn't thought that a brand new aircraft would have a failure on board ( i mean in fspax)

Did it happen to you before??

Wheres the fun in that? How about don't sleep through your flights. Wink

Sorry, Crash investigation have proved that it was the snoring of the pilot
who caused bad vibration in the fuel tank and caused the leak. Wink

Seriously if you plan to do unmanaged flight I strongly recommend
either that you set 0% failure or don't use instant record.

Dan

I know what you mean, but flying over the atlantic during a 12 hours flight can be very boring!!!! Wink
That is why I'd rather do the long hauls when im sleeping, but after that day...........
Bloody fspassengers, its damn good!!!

Cheers all!

On a related subject, (I just purchased FSPassengers, btw), can you save a FSPassenger Flight in progress?

Also, congrats on a fine product Dan, I saw the illegal cracks but decided you should be rewarded for your efforts, so I purchased it to
encourage you to keep up the good work.

And that leads to another question, Can the DataBase file "FSpdb.db" be accessed with Microsoft's Access? I was thinking of starting a
small company and then as it gets larger, making a new company that absorbs the assets of the older company, and what I am reading
in the documentation leads me to believe that only the pilots can be transferred.

Edit:: Also, I could manually charge myself the 100 hour maintenance fee until that bug is fixed

Of course, you could just pause the FsP flight, Alt-Tab out of FS9, and hibernate the machine. It's not the best way but it's the only way. As
for the database, it cannot be accessed by any external database programs, because the db file is in its own proprietary format.

But anyway, I don't think it would be possible as for example, myself, I use PSS 777 and Wilco 737. Well, I don't think it would work the 737
once you load you save flight. Don't you think?

Just Imagine!! you load the flight in fsp and afterwards the aircraft. You will find yourself at FLX with a cold and dark cockpit and a fresh FMC
with no fplan.

I guess thats the big problem why Dan doesn't upgrade the save flight thing
