Saving FS Pax - pshort - 02-04-2006

Hi All,

I do a lot of long haul flying, often in several sittings as sometimes i do not have enough time to sit it out in one go. Problem is i lose my
FSPax flight if i save my flight and then come back later. Is there a way of saving the FSPax flight at the same time? Or am i doomed to fly
onyl short haul with FSPax?

If so, unfortunately that will be another product hitting the Trash Bin :-(
Got the new PMDG747F and want to maximise its use :-)
Regards

Paul

FAQ's?

Re: Saving FS Pax - Enzo - 02-04-2006

...it works fine for me to put windoze in standby mode... Smile

Re: Saving FS Pax - jetBlue220 - 03-04-2006

Just pause the flight... If you need to use the computer for something else, then minimize FS...I do it all the time.

Re: Saving FS Pax - pshort - 03-04-2006

Thanks for the responses guys. So the overarching answer is No you cant save it, sad, wish id read this forum before i purchased it.
Minimising is fine, but dont help with the FS crashes we often have to endure. Pete Dowsons autosave is a great little programme for
those eventualities, guess ill just have to live with the no FSPax save. I know that my patience will wear thin very rapidly though, a save
situation has to be a must in my eyes for any program. After all its a game and we dont all have the time to sit at our PC's for the fuill
duration (no doubt the purists amongst us will disagree :-))
Unfortuantely looks like FSPax could be doomed to the dustbin in the near future, shame because it does add a new dimension, whcih i
enjoy.

Well happy simming gentlemen. all the best,

Paul

Paul, if you need to go away from comp for any length of time, just pause flight, minimise it and put comp into hybernation, works
everytime for me.

Re: Saving FS Pax - SaVas - 05-04-2006

Well if its a really long flight, just use autopilot and go to sleep, or run your errands.

Re: Saving FS Pax - JayKae - 05-04-2006

Somewhere along the line during the betaphase there was a savefunction which worked for a lot of the testers but not for everyone so it
was decided to get rid of it, in saying that the function is still hardcoded into the program but just not active, who knows maybe for a future
