Idea for next version... - HPL - 28-03-2006

Just out of curosity, does anyone think that it would be a good addition in FSP to make like a charter mode kind of thing where a passenger could be
charged more money than they would normally pay to fly in an aircraft that they would not normally be able to fly in.

For example: Charge $1500 for a flight in a SR-71.

If would make it useful to purchase that kind of jet for your company when there are only two seats.

Does that sound good to anyone else?

Been suggested many times... But a good idea nevertheless Smile

To add what I would like to see if any revision/changes are on the way is: Crew profiles similar to what currently exists for the 'Captain'.
Such as: Full cockpit and cabin crew profiles with their names etc. This would be nice hmm? Also: a good airline schedule for the
company such as schedules, flight plans and 'lines' for the pilots.

I don't have a problem with the charter aspect but, realistically, how many airlines are you aware of that fly SR-71's? Smile

It sounds like what you're suggesting is more like an airshow, "pay per ride" deal, like, "$25 Helicopter Rides!"

I would like to see helicopters used in FS Passengers, that would be a nice touch.

Heh, I heard it cost like $50,000 an hour just to operate the SR-71. That was most of the reason it was retired, too costly to operate and satellites could do the job just as well.

What I'd like to see is an Air America type scenario (like in the movie). Where you are assigned tasks to fly around in old beat up planes
in southeast Asia doing mundane jobs for the government but also you have opportunites to do some smuggling and make your pilot
personally richer.

Or just any other scenario where you have assigned missions to complete with options to go off in another direction if the opportunity
presents itself.

I would like to see an all freight mode to accomidate cargo aircraft like the PMDG cargo 747, it could be like a UPS or FEDEX for boxes,
the only dofferiance is boxes don't complain or get hungery.

{whistle whistle} - Pilot Career can do that. {whistle whistle}

In terms of cargo, how about something to run in parallel to PAX satisfaction? Namely, a fragile level for the cargo and also, time
sensitivity.

Let's say you're carrying a load of eggs and you land at 800 ft/min (OUCH!) - There goes your cargo - and your pay, not to mention a fine!

Now let's say you're flying some high priority documents and you have to divert because of a failure - or maybe you are just late because
of - something. Penalty - based on the level of urgency.
