Random Crashes - StrangeGamer - 25-06-2019

Hi,

I have decided to give FSP a try after a family friend had recommended it. So I downloaded and installed the demo, however, I cannot complete a single flight as it keeps crashing with no warning message.

Don't know what else to say as I haven't noticed a specific action that causes it to crash.

I am on the latest Windows 10 update and use FSX: SE, my PC is only 3 months old and was built specifically for flight simulation and whatever else my avionic systems college uni course may require.

In your FSPXInstall.log there's an error related to the Registry settings for FSX-SE that was not found.

FSP searched however the FSX.exe Steam Edition file (and found it) but then it found fsx.cfg and xml.dll here

Not only what is stated above, I would be interested in seeing the Event Viewer information after each crash. That may help in finding the specific module or process that could be triggering the crash.

Also, this may not be specific to the crash, but installing -SE in the (x86) directory can cause protection (memory access violation) issues. I've seen it happen to a number of people. If this is indeed the case, we can talk about the solution later. But, we would need to see if the Event Viewer actually points to it.
