Mid-Air Collision - Cutchie123 - 11-03-2006 The other day I was flying from Knock (EIKN) to Shannon (EINN) using a Cessna 172. An A320 was faster than me and hit me from behind. I was very annoyed, because the flight report read this: Flight ID: GTC5 Pilot: Padraig Donahughe Company: Aer Ghaeltact Aircraft: Cessna Skyhawk 172SP Paint1 Flight Date: March 10 2006 Departure: 10h47 (10h47 GMT) Arrival: -- From: EIKN - Connaught - Ireland To: ---- Nbr of Passengers: 1 Accident Report: The aircraft collided with another aircraft at 11h48 with a speed of 63 kt. There were no known failures on this aircraft at the time of the accident.The cause of the crash remains unknown but the weather conditions were bad at the time of the crash. Probable causes to the accident are most likely human error in bad weather. No emergency was declared before the crash. Casualties: -1 passengers aboard -0 killed -0 injured -Pilot and flight crew were injured Passenger Opinion: Terror and grief. (0%) -Were pleased by the music on ground. A very nice addition to their flying experience. Crash Financial Report: Taking into account the state of the aircraft and its current resale value after the crash. The insurance company decided to pay a total of £11,036 which represents 11.69% of the resale value. You can now decide to repair or sell the wreck. The insurance will pay all other damages. The insurance rate increased by 0.44% and is now 4.76%. Total Sim Income: £11,036 Company Reputation: Due to the crash, your company reputation is now: 65% (-6.57 decrease) Overall Flight Result: Crash Pilot's Penalty points: -850 points Crash! The aircraft was destroyed in flight at an altitude of 655ft due to extreme flight conditions. Many lives were lost - your fault. (-850) Has anyone had this problem before, and can it be fixed?
