Question on a fuel leak - CDR - 11-03-2006
Outside of having a sudden loss of allot of fuel how can I find out if I have a minor fuel leak ?

Try keeping an eye on the inflight report, I once found out by seeing there that my fuel flow was increasing instead of decreasing and suddenly it
showed I had a negative flying time left to destination.
Also you can look at your induvidual tanks, most planes have 2 or more fuel tanks. If you see that 1 tank is getting lower and lower than the other
tank, then you should be worried. Also keep an eye on the fuel flow gauge in the plane, if it gets to high and you know it's not supposed to be that
high, be afraid. Combining these together should give you a hint if you have a fuel leak.

other thing i figured out this that the aircarft pull to 1 side if ther is a fuel leak (or thers an engine failure but i wood no if ther was!)

When I flew with the navy in a c118 just after takeoff the flight atendent gave us a wing check.
This was to observe any oil or fuel leaks.
They should train the FSP atendents to do the same thing.
But dont hold your breth .
All in fun LOL.

I took off from EGNM to Heathrow before i took off i looked at my fuek had 154000lbs at 500ft i notice my fuel went down to 98000lbs so i
delcared a emergancy and found out it was nothing wrong with the plane. since then not having any probs

What then was the actual problem?
Besides, does anyone know how to dump fuel in a standard b747 in fs2004? Can´t find any hints in the documentation - is there any key?
