Sick passengers - fruitfly - 30-05-2005 For the last couple of months I've just been checking the forum - not the screenees or the FAQ, so if this is explained already - I'm sorry for taking your time. It just crossed my mind I've seen the list of the passengers includes their age. Does that mean that there's an increased probability of an emergency landing (due to a heart attack?) and in accord with the old/er age? Or is it just a wishful thinking? Re: Sick passengers - DanSteph - 30-05-2005 this was one of the first things I had in mind one years ago... honestly I didn't had time to do it until yet... and it would be a long job, I should add hostess sound, penality, passengers healt state, bonus, text in report, test all the case etc etc ... a lot of code. So I don't promise this would be ready for the final... anyway there is already 30 events that can happen to you in flight (failures I mean... an "heart attack" would be also a "failure") Dan Re: Sick passengers - fruitfly - 30-05-2005 Oooh! But it doesn't have to be in this release at all! Remember: it's only the FIRST incarnation of this program that is SURELY here to stay! It's great to have such a developer who not only agrees with and accepts, but also anticipates all possible ideas!!!! So.... let's bring this first edition to its finish so you can start living on the fruits of your labour. And take it easy when it comes to the later upgrading of FSP; you won't be late nowhere. Luckily, there are still many ideas to implement so there'll be more than enough 'space' to expand. Can't wait to give you my money!!! All the best Re: Sick passengers - Zatnikitelman - 31-05-2005 that would be nice! it would be fun to make your passengers suffer! I like doing that in games to my people like in Roller Coaster Tycoon, or in the soccer games, I just randomly slide tackle people, and sometimes the goalie if he took my bal away from me. Re: Sick passengers - Shane Herbel - 31-05-2005 One of the many failures that can happen to you guys might like is Cabin Decompression. This happened to me on a flight last Thursday. I was 28 minutes into a flight form Brisbane to Wellington at FL270 over the pacific ocean. All of a sudden I heard screams and an almighty wind sound all around my room (5.1 Surround helps) I declared an emergency and decended to 7000ft and flew my crippled 744 back to Brisbane. When I landed I heard rescue veicles arriving and was given a great flight report for getting back safely. This was the first time out of all my flights in FsP that I had experienced a failure. I have my failure settings on 5% (Easy to Hard Failures can occur). I hope you guys can all share you experiences here soon. Well i mean that in a nice way. Of coarse I hope you all get home safely. Re: Sick passengers - djsebx - 31-05-2005 I'll just add a detail... about rescue vehicules arriving, actually it's a sound sample.of their sirens with some doppler effects ![]() Re: Sick passengers - JayKae - 31-05-2005 I love the fact that you can do a belly rather than just crashing as FS defaults Re: Sick passengers - Ryanamur - 02-06-2005 I had a bird strike on take off. I immediately lowered the nose to get to best glide speed. Attempted an unsucessful restart while making a 180 towards the runway (winds were calm). I was a bit too low and slow for the runway but was able to make a sucessfull emergency landing on the taxiway. Sirens greeted me and was promoted because of exceptional flying skills. I simply love FsP. Re: Sick passengers - evw93 - 03-06-2005 What happens if you open the doors inflight. If you bellyland can you flip? |
