FsPassenger random menu crash - Lovheim - 30-03-2018 Hi I'm experiencing random crashes from FsPassenger's menu. It works for like 5-10minutes, then suddenly when I hover over the menu to show FsPassenger menus the game freezes and crashes. This issue does not happen if FsPassenger is not installed. I do not have any other addons installed and have reinstalled the game a couple of times. RE: FsPassenger random menu crash - Lovheim - 01-04-2018 Hi again So i've tried some different methods in order to see if I could fix the issue. 1. Installed the game on the C: disk instead of the normal steam-folder 2. Reinstalled fsPassengers 3. Found and removed the regedit key 4. Replaced the UIAutomationCore.dll 5. Launching the game in compability mode None of the above methods worked. Whenever I uninstall fsPassengers it does not crash and works as it should, but whenever fsPassengers is installed it will crash after some time. How I reproduce the issue: 1. Launch FSX-Steam 2. Enter a game in free-mode without changing anything 3. Load the boeing from the demo company 4. Opens a new window and undock it to my right screen 5. Right click on that window, changing different views around 10-12 times. Then the game will crash Error from the event gives me: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.62615.0, time stamp: 0x559f9a9a Faulting module name: fspassengersx.dll_unloaded.exe, version: 4.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x56a2dbbe Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00035080 Faulting process id: 0x146c Faulting module path: fspassengersx.dll FSPXInstall.log Code: -FsPassengers setup ver. SE is supposed to already have the proper adjustments. If SE made any recent updates, that could potentially cause some issues with FsP. Not for sure though. The exception code 0xc0000005 is a different case, however. That alone could be the culprit. Usually this involves access violation within Windows. Do you have full rights to your pc, and are you opening -SE as admin? Hi Joe, Yes I have also tried this as per suggested in another thread that I read on this forum. I have just spoken with a friend of mine who also have the same issue, he however stated he have never had this issue before (He last played in September last year). I have all the rights, tried opening as administrator - giving full access etc. Also tried different compability modes without any positive result. My conclusion so far has been towards that a recent FSX-SE patch somehow does not work properly with FsPassengers, considering this is only crashing when accessing the menu (toolbar/right click) and nothing else. After uninstalling FsPassengers I have not had this issue. RE: FsPassenger random menu crash - Joeflyer - 05-04-2018 Ok, I'll see if Dan can take a look at this soon. RE: FsPassenger random menu crash - DanSteph - 06-04-2018 Dear Alexander, I'll try to find what happen but it might be difficult, I need more informations and tests. First FSX-se didn't have any update, it's still the last "615" version. I just tried with you method, no CTD, also I didn't had any special report of CTD by mail those time. Maybe it's more a windows update that changed some DLL or another addon ? -I tried on Windows 7 x64, what OS do you have exactly ? -Do you have any other addon ? Did you try to (temporary) remove all except FsPassengers ? -If you don't open the new windows you don't have any ctd ? Kind regards Dan |
