Any wav music files I add are seen when I load fspassengers but if I try to use them fsx steam instantly crashes . files are wav format and up to 5 MB in length. Any ideas or restrictions and do they only go in one location , ie sounds

Did you make the .wav files yourself, and if you did, is each file a simple name instead of a long name, ie, sample.wave?

So, you got the files from an outside source and not from the FsP More Downloads section?

yes from my own source , I have since tried files from the download section and they appear to work .

Ah, got it. You're ok with the sounds now? After all, you use outside sources at your own risk. It's not always detrimental if you do so, but you always run the risk of the files not working properly.
