Penalty problem - Wolfman - 05-10-2016
Hi I purchased the FSPassenger a month ago and like it alot however I am flying a Cessna 182 and on 3 occsasions I have been given a 300 point penalty for taking off without flaps.
I have checked and my flaps were set at 30 degrees on all occasions.
I do not understand why I am getting the penalty
I managed to get to Rank C3 but lossing this amount of points 900 in total is making the game unpopular with me
Being a novice (not at FSX which i fly for a Virtual company for over 7 years) is there any way to shut down the penalty for flaps
if so please explain in simple terms as i will need guidance

Not necessarily. I have had a few occasions with the Real Air Duke in which I was certain that I had at least one notch of flaps for takeoff but got hit with a penalty. Then I realized after a while that I may have retracted the flaps way too soon after liftoff. Also, it could have been that I didn't extend the flaps at all. Both situations can and do happen in the sim
If this happened on every flight and with different aircraft, there's likely a real problem. By the way, why would you need flaps 30 for takeoff? Practicing short field takeoffs?

i thought so too but he ask for a problem solution, so i thought of pointing him to the FAQ would help.. if i was wrong i m sorry

That is certainly another way to do it, Tom...you weren't wrong at all. I simply offered other scenarios in which this can happen.
