FSP hangs and then aborts the flight - SoulFlight - 15-09-2016
Hello everyone,
since my FSX reinstall FSP started to behave strange. Most flights work as expected, but sometimes the mini display is freezing mid-flight with the info not being updated anymore. When it comes back to life later, the "Sorry, no jump allowed"-Message pops up and my flight is aborted.
Since this is very frustrating, I would recommend blocking the "OK"-Button in Map view instead for the jump prevention and not quit the flight as soon as FSP thinks I jumped somewhere....
I ran into that issue twice so far, first was with the PMDG 747 on a VHHH approach (very nasty) and the other one just now after takeoff from MMMX in the CS 727-100.
I am using DX10 mode with Steves fixer.

Are you perhaps going from full screen to windowed mode and back while the mini display is open? If so, I've experienced graphics issues before when having the mini display open and doing the process as stated. I quit using the mini display a long time ago. I've never had the no jump allowed message pop up when doing this. However, there have been a couple of other users lately who have seen this as well. Maybe it's something Dan should possibly look into if more people come forward with the same problem.
Have you updated graphics drivers lately?

I have had this problem for several months now.. If I clicked on any part of the game menu.. FsPassengers would quit working.. always preceded by approach and landing co pilot sounds not working. Now what I do is right after clicking the game menu.. I click on the FSPassengers tab..click on end game.. I click on continue game.. and no more "Sorry, no jump allowed" and I continue my flight until it's done..

I just had this issue again after setting up a long haul flight in the PMDG 744, when I tried to switch off seat belt signs at around 10000ft it was hanging again and aborted the flight. I cannot tell if I did switch from full screen to windowed mode before, but since I need some Info for my FMC prior to flight, I probably had.
If you notice this, it also helps to bring up the flight info screen by pressing "i", but if you do this too late, it will abort the flight.
Again, Dan, please simply block the "OK" button command in the map view instead to prevent people from jumping in-flight. Problem solved.

Due to how FSX is coded it is impossible to block the map OK button, a good practice to use is when going out of menus with no changes press the ESC button but make sure you are not holding down Ctrl otherwize it opens up the start menu or in the case of win 8.1 pro the tiles page menu thing.
