Failures caused by something other than FSPassengers - Merlin59 - 28-06-2016 I need some help if possible. I have been flying Alabeo's Piper Saratoga. It has a gear warning issue that seems to be fixed only by turning off crash detection in fsx. Trust me I've tried it every other way and no go. Simply not reliable enough with crash detection on. It seems like a bug and unfortunately Alabeo wasn't very helpful for support. I tried using the plane in fspassengers but keep getting the failure was caused by the airplane outside of fspassengers message. I've gotten this a few times before but it's every flight with this plane. I want failures in fspassengers to occure and that's my question. If I turn crash detection in fsx off so I can use this plane will this turn of failures in fspassengers as well? I've seen other threads but it wasn't clear at least to me if that would work. Thanks for any help as I love this plane and would like to keep using it but the gear failures are getting expensive. I've been landing it all within the parameters so while I wish it was my fault it doesn't at this point appear to be. Thanks again! :-) RE: Failures caused by something other than FSPassengers - SamTDS - 28-06-2016 No turning off crash detection does not stop failures from happening. Don't forget to disable the force detection otherwise fspassengers will turn it back on. RE: Failures caused by something other than FSPassengers - Merlin59 - 28-06-2016 Thanks Sam. That will hopefully make this aircraft usable. At the risk of sounding dense, how do I turn force detection off? Thanks again! :-) RE: Failures caused by something other than FSPassengers - SamTDS - 28-06-2016 you can turn it off in more_options.cfg located in C:\Users\Public\Documents\FsPassengers\Config RE: Failures caused by something other than FSPassengers - Merlin59 - 28-06-2016 Thank you so much! I appreciate your help. I hope this corrects the issue as I love the airplane except this issue. I wish Alabeo would just look at the overall issue because otherwise the plane is great to fly. However from their emails about it I don't see that happening. As I said I've had other planes do this occasionally but this does it every single time. Unfortunately I get charged for it as well and I'm playing on the hardest setting. Good flying and thanks again! :-) |
